Disney Visa Bank One card

I have been reading the posts about the FTP and the Special offers from Disney Cards bank one. It seems to me that Bank one is discriminating against certain people if they only offer this deal to a select group!
I am going to WDW in September for my wedding and honeymoon. I thought it would be a great Idea to apply for the Disney Bank one card. I did, and I got my first bill in January. Even before my statement arrived, I got a flyer advertising 25 free disney reward dollars for new card members. OOps, too bad for me since I just signed up a few weeks earlier when there were no promotions going on. AND NOW I hear that you can receive 100 free reward dollars for being a new member.... this really urks me!
I don't know about you all, but I use my Disney card for ALL my purchases, (just because I want the reward dollars). Don't you think that they ought to reward their current customers as well? After all, we DID get this card because we love Disney and want the perks that go with it right?

Just a little FYI.... I applied for the card because I am going to Disney twice this year... Once to WDW and the other WDL in Paris. Disney land in PARIS, (or anyother Disney overseas) will NOT accept the Disney reward dollars. I was a little upset to hear this, but figured thats just all the more reward dollars I can use on my honeymoon.

well, thanks for listening. I do believe we need to gang up on Bank one to get what we want. If anyone does get a special code in the mail for any discounts would you PLEASE share them with us! Thanks and good luck to all!

I agree. I was thinking the same thing last night. I am a "Charter Member", and I have used the card a LOT! If this new package does come out, and it is only for people who sign up now, you can bet I will be on the phone to Bank One.

I don't think any of their offers should be just for a select group. You have a Disney VISA, you should be eligible for any and all promotions.

When I called to complain this morning, they told me on Sunday I should call new applications and just apply for a new account. I said why would I do that since I'm a Day 1 member, and they said lots of customers have 5 & 6 accounts. They just keep applying for new cards as new promotions arise. Seems like such a processing nightmare for Visa...why would they want to make it so hard for everyone, including themselves? Can they make that much more money?

Anyway, I don't believe we will have to worry...they WILL allow this to all customers, or there will be a huge mutiny! We just have to be patient and stay on top of it by communicating with eachother and Visa through it all.

Have a great time in Paris. I am jealous!

I just got a card recently, too, but don't qualify for this deal.

I'm e-mailing Bank One and WDW tomorrow to express my displeasure.

If enough people contact them, they may open it up to everyone. Remember how this past summer they changed PS for certain people to 90 days out and the general public stayed at 60? It was changed to 90 days for everyone in about a week because the general public got mad and let them know.

Hoping this, too, will change.

dh got a pre-approved application just the other day, with 3 offers included! One of which was the free rewards dollars! What amazes me is that he's a cardholder on my card already! WHAT do they think we're gonna 'balance-transfer'? Our other card? Kinda ironic and, if it didn't mean having another balance on our report, I just might take them up on it....NOT!

They need to offer all the deals to ALL the cardholders, in some way, shape or form, imo.
