Alright. Here is MY question. I am currently booked for a vacation package for Oct. 13-18 at POP. I booked with a AAA travel agent. Now I know she technically owns the reservation. But she does not get into the office until 8:30 on Thursday... and then starting Friday she is on vacation. So how should I handle things? I currently have a AAA discount on my room, but if the upcoming code is more, clearly I want to save some money. What advice do you have?

You would just need to contact that AAA agent. WDTC can not touch your reservation if booked outside of them.

If you see a discount, that is a better one than what you have, WDTC agents can modify your reservation to fit that code, based on the availability. The can check for that without changing your current reservation. You just need to make sure that you are eligible for that discount.

Huh? WDTC can only apply a code discount to a reservation done directly with them. If done via a TA, the TA has to do the change.

I'd do a new reservation the moment the code comes out and then cancel the other one provided travel is more than 45 days in advance so you can get your full deposit back.

we're booked for CBR Sept. 27-Oct. 2. If the visa discount is for Sept. 28 or beyond will we be able to apply it to our reservation? And will it be a discount to the whole package or just room only?

Even if you receive a pin for a room only discount, just ask the agent, there is usually an upgrade to a package using your pin code. The pin wouldn't be able to be added to your package unless you changed your dates. If it starts on the 28th, and you are booked for the 27th, none of the discount will apply unless your package was modified for those dates.

If I've already booked my Disney package and already paid the deposit with another card (debit card not the disney visa), am I able to apply the Disney Visa discount (when it comes out) if I use the Disney Visa to pay off the balance?

No, you would need to transfer the deposit to the Disney Visa card, to get that promotion, if there is one.

You have three options. Number 1: You take your chances that your AAA TA is going to be able to get you what you want, even though she isn't going to be available until at the very least, a couple of hours into the period of time when the offer has been released. Number 2: You call for yourself directly to Disney and book your own trip with the discount. Afterwards, you call your AAA TA and tell her to cancel your existing reservation and issue you a refund, ASAP. Number 3: You just accept that the deal that you have with AAA is as good as it's going to get and just let this completely slip through your fingers.

WDTC can not double book you though. You could price out the one with the discount but your AAA package needs to be canceled before you can book with WDTC. If an agent books a reservation for you, that a travel agent has already booked, and it is discovered (and it will be), that agent can be fired.

Yup - people are getting PINs but not those that need it

My sis and BIL both got PINs but they are not going this year (expecting)...

I did get an e-mail a couple days ago...I didn't think it was a PIN e-mail but I went back a looked. It states a $1700 based on a family of 4 or $61 per night. It says the following:

Ask about packages for other lengths of stay, other great accommodations, including Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts, or other great rates for stays most nights through 12/17/09!

Is this a PIN e-mail?

EDIT: I don't think it is because it says its the "augest edition" of the WDW emagazine

Can you have the CM hold a room with the discount for 7 days . then call the AAA agent and have your reservation canceled. then call Disney back and book the package on hold???????
