Disney Visa 09/28 - 12/23 Code

not sure how to figure out when the promo dates are
we will be there the 16-20 and I have a PIN next to my name but am hoping VISA one is a better deal.

anyone have past experience for that? I can do room only or package don't really care as long as I am saving money.

My PIN now she said is 15-20% but could get more specific which drives me NUTS :scared:

If you have a price quotefor the pin, just got to WDW's website and put in the same info and see what the full price is.

I am guessing the Visa code will be the usual $10-15 off the values, $40-$45 of mods and 20%-25% off the deluxes (PURE speculation on my part based on the codes for similar time frame over the past few years ;) )

Um, Yom Kippur is not going to make any difference in attendance. No observant Jew is going to be going to Disneyworld on Yom Kippur.

But other religions are off from school too and they are. I'm one of them;)

Oh, that's true, there are a few districts that work their fall break around that time...sadly ours is not one!! :)

My kids are only off the 9th for the Jewish holiday and the 13th for Colombus Day so I am pulling them out of school for 1 Day (Friday) and going from the night of the 8th to the 13th. Unfortunatley I can't pull out my 9th grader for more than a day :sad1:

I got a pincode from Disney Visa yesterday.

With a slight downgrade (originally booked Poly garden view, now have Contemporary garden view) and pincode, I saved $2930 off of 2 rooms/ one week. Booking without pincode was about $900 difference, so the pincode saved me about $2000.

They could not apply it to the Poly for Thanksgiving week.

Good Luck to everyone waiting. I think they will offer to the public within a week - 10 days.

How exciting! Did you get a room with a balcony with this deal or are you still at the Contemporary?

Just curious - how come we needed a separate thread for this when there's already a December Code Watch thread? :confused3 Now I have two places to check.

Exactly! Take a look at airfares from the NY metro region for the 9th-13th of October and you'll have an idea just how many are coming!

Last year was better when Rosh Hashanah fell on a Thur-Fri during free dining!

If I've already booked my Disney package and already paid the deposit with another card (debit card not the disney visa), am I able to apply the Disney Visa discount (when it comes out) if I use the Disney Visa to pay off the balance?

It figures, Thursday is not a good day for me. How early can I call to book??? I may be able to go into work late that day. Will I even have the code yet?

I am sure this has been asked in one format or another but my brain must not be focused after I completed my olympic swim meet last night :rotfl:

If/When the Visa code comes out Thursday is there a finite number of PIN codes they give out first come first serve and when they run out they are done, or is it more like discounts are available beginning Thursday and they end at a certain time?

I guess what I am wondering is how likely is it for me to get this deal on Thursday (again assuming it really gonna happen that day)

I have a ressie "holding" under a PIN that is 15-20% right now but I dont want to press send until I know if the VISA deal will save us more :confused3

I know you can't really know everything until its out but I am trying to see if I have a chance at getting this thing.

thanks :worship:

Alright. Here is MY question. I am currently booked for a vacation package for Oct. 13-18 at POP. I booked with a AAA travel agent. Now I know she technically owns the reservation. But she does not get into the office until 8:30 on Thursday... and then starting Friday she is on vacation. So how should I handle things? I currently have a AAA discount on my room, but if the upcoming code is more, clearly I want to save some money. What advice do you have?

Expert DIS code people,
I'm trying to decide how to approach this possible code on Thursday. We are currently booked at POR and I love the resort, but we will have 6 of us. 2 adults and 7, 5, 3, and 1 year olds.
Will the ASMu Family Suites be a part of the visa code??? If so, should I try to switch to there? It was more expensive than POR for all of us, that is why I didn't book it in the first place.

I got an email from Disney with a 15 digit PIN code. Good with s few blackout dates from Sept. 28-Dec. 23. It works out to about 30 percent off a MYW Package (no hopper tickets) at a value resort. I will call tomorrow and find out what other resorts it covers, and I will also compare it to the free dining deal as well as the other PIN code I got just after New Year's 2008. My guess is that at 30 percent off the package it is at least as good as free dining or the previous PIN at a WDW moderate.

Portie

Looks like my PIN is not that wonderful. For 2 adults, 6 days/5night, with a MYW ticket (no hopper) and the basic Dining Plan, here are my rates:

CSR: $1834
AKL: $2318
Poly: $2957

These aren't much better than a non-discounted rate are they? Looks like the 40 percent off rack rate PIN I got in January was a better deal. Hope the Disney Visa code is a good one.

that is actually pretty good!

We booked last year before the increases-- our 6 night stay at WL with regular dining and meal plan is $3018....

AKL is the same as WL (roughly) so your $2318 sounds GREAT!

good luck to you- jen

ps we have two kids-- 5 and 7-- so I guess we would have to consider that too.

You have three options. Number 1: You take your chances that your AAA TA is going to be able to get you what you want, even though she isn't going to be available until at the very least, a couple of hours into the period of time when the offer has been released. Number 2: You call for yourself directly to Disney and book your own trip with the discount. Afterwards, you call your AAA TA and tell her to cancel your existing reservation and issue you a refund, ASAP. Number 3: You just accept that the deal that you have with AAA is as good as it's going to get and just let this completely slip through your fingers.

There was an additional package deal/room-only deal for VISA cardholders after the others. We were originally booked w/ free dining but had to move our dates out of the included dates. Then we went to the general package discount. Finally an even better VISA discount came out, and I applied that to our ressie.

Does anyone know if code would apply on to resort stay or land/sea package also?

The discounts, if offered through Walt Disney Travel Company, are for the resorts. WDTC doesn't book for land and sea, that would be through the cruise line only
