Disney Videographer?

After looking at the wondeful wedding video's posted, I really want to get one! The prices of Disney's Videography package seems a bit steep. Is it worth using Disney's or has anyone used an outside vendor? Any recommendations of who? We are having an intimate wedding at Sunset Point.

Firstly I think it's important that you go with a company that you like the style of so I think you should ask to see Demos from all the companies you are interested in using.

I am going to be using STVS Video mainly because I really like his work and I think it's very professional. I'd have to say I don't think he's that much cheaper than Disney when I did a comparison but his work appealed to me more and he offers a lot of neat extras

I couldn't really recommend any others personally but I do remember seeing a video from A Magic Moment which was also good. You can do a search on the Orlando area on theknot.com they have a whole listing for you to go through

I have been married before and I have to say whilst the marriage ended in divorce the one thing I don't regret is getting married in the first place. My ex and I had an awesome day and we always regret not having it on video so if you could cut something else in order to have the video I'd say do it

Oh thank you so much...I feel better about wanting the video now! It is funny you mentioned STVS because those were the videos that brought tears to my eyes and made me really want a video. Since they are an outside vendor, do you have to pay an additional cost to Disney to use them?

Yes you do pay a cost to Disney - I believe it's $90 for hte first 3 hours and then $30 per hour over that.

But you need to check with your contract that you can use outside vendors for video with your Intimate Wedding Contract - I know they changed the ruling on photos but I'm not sure on videographers.

Stan's are truly tearjerkers aren't they ? LOL I put myself through them every now again - I cannot get enough of them

Have you chosen your Officiant?

$90 isn't bad. I thought it would a lot more than that. I would only want them there while we were at Sunset Point. So much to think about...!

I just contacted Rev. Jack and Rev. Tim for some information. They were both really nice, but there was something about Rev. Jack that touched me a little more. Who will you be using?

olsen -Rev. Jack is wonderful. I have him as my officiant at my wedding and he does put some personal touches on the wedding day. He truely is an amazing man. Dont hesitate to tell him if you have something special you want done or added in. He does let you include it, as well as change some words.
As for STVS video I must say that I stand by his work 100%. He and his wife Bonnie are incredible people and are so professional when it comes to their business.

olsen - I have to say that without speaking to either Officiant I warmed more to Rev. Tim from each respective website. I then met with Rev. Tim and he was very nice but a couple of weeks later there was something niggling me so I applied for Rev. Jacks pack and we exchanged emails and I have now changed to Rev. Jack. I think Rev. Tim is wonderful but he was just a little too reserved for me and Rev. Jack really gives me a feeling that he wants to be involved in our ceremony and not just perform it. LOL do you know what I mean ?

OMG Sam, you could not have descibed him any better. He does actually get totally involved. He is such a sweet man. I Loved when he gave my daughter a kiss on the cheek when she arrived at the altar. It was so nice to see that when I viewed my wedding video.
At the end of the ceremony he came into the brides room where we were and told us that our ceremony was one of the most touching ceremonies he has ever prefomed and he almost lost it on the altar with all the tears.
We gave him some special words to say to our daughter while we were giving her a family medallion and he stated that he would be using these words at other ceremonies because he found them really touching and meaningful to say to a child that is included in a ceremony.
He also knew that me and my now husband had been together for now 17 years and it took our daughter to tell us "Dont you think its time for you guys to get married?" When we told her ok we'll do it if its gonna make you happy she turned to us and said " I have the perfect place for us to do it" LOL!!!! I had wanted it to be there anyway due to it has been a dream of mine since I was a child and with her blessings on having it there it just made it all the better place.


Wait till you meet him Sam. He makes you truely feel like a princess

Thank you Sam and Ellie for all your help! I am so happy I chose Rev. Jack now and I will make sure to watch Extreme Makeover since he is the one performing the ceremony.

Ellie....your wedding video is breathtaking. And it made me cry! Stan has already emailed me back and I will be contacting him tomorrow to finalize my wedding video! I can see how you feel like a movie star.

I actually will be calling him soon to make dinner arrangements with him and his wife while I am down there in March. I had never met him before my wedding however since that day he and his wife are very special friends. At my wedding Bonnie taught me how to do the YMCA the right way They are sooooooo much fun. You will not be sorry you hired them and their work is worth every last penny.
