I am 25, have been to Disney every year since i was 8. We have some ride photo pictures from when i was younger, but not many since then since its so expensive. We make a calendar every year since its only $20 right from disney and its nice to get to use the images that DisneyPhotoPass takes on it as well as our own. Its a keepsake we look forward to making every year together. Since memory maker came out we have played with the idea of getting it. Anyone have thoughts on this either way?

I have been to WDW for only a day and I can say for 100% it is worth it!!! I've got well over 50 pictures at this point.

We used to get the PhotoPass+ CD before Memory Maker came out (and we'll preorder MM for our next trip). We like it because it frees us from carrying bulky cameras and everyone can be in the pictures (without bothering strangers to take pictures for us). We use our phones for extra pictures.

The photopass pictures are good quality; and it's fun having the magic shots (some of our faves were of us being frightened by "ghosts" during MNSSHP). Ride photos are a bonus.

On one week-long trip alone, we got over 1,000 pictures (enough that we were sent two CDs (but we weren't charged anything extra). MM doesn't automatically come with CDs (the price only includes digital downloads, but a CD can be purchased for extra), but it'll be super easy to burn your own picture CD. Also, you can use your pictures to make books, calendars, etc later.

Last year, there was not many PP cms out. Are there more now?

I would say that it was worth it and I will do it again. I still bring my own camera and take my own pictures, but there is a peace of mind in knowing that at many spots, a CM will take a wonderful picture and also the whole family can be in it. The CMs pictures were pretty much always much better than the same pictures I took of the scene. And they are pretty plentiful, they have them at most character meet and greets and at many places around the park (always in front of cinderella castle, in front of Spaceship Earth, the tree of life).

I ended up with around 200 memory maker pictures from disney and maybe 400 that I took myself. The ones I ended up framing and hanging up were from memory maker.
