Disney Very Merriest After Hours Party just announced!

I doubt it. I know things are bad now but can't see things not spiking by November. There will be no one left to infect the way its going on. I think if things would still be bad they would just straight out cancel.

In the small print in boo bash does it say subject to change anywhere?
I think everything Disney does has that in small print TBH lol

It does. Plus an after hours party with much lower capacity is better for Covid than the regular days.

My question might have already been answered. If so, I apologize.

My crew is staying at the Swan & Dolphin. Is that considered a DELUXE hotel to where I can get access to the VERY MERRIEST AFTER HOURS before others? Do these tickets usually sell out immediately when they go on sale?

I haven't heard of anyone having access to early ticket sales. If there is then it would be available to Ap holders or direct DVC members. Everyone with a Very Merriest After Hours ticket can enter at 7 p.m.

Do these tickets usually sell out immediately? Like ... is this something that will sell out in seconds/minutes? Or as long as you get it in the first couple of days, you'll be fine?

If Boo Bash is any indication - Disney can't handle the demand, so it won't sell out in seconds/minutes since their phone lines get all tied up or their website crashes :rotfl2:

With that said, the "early access" tickets might sell out but IIRC more tickets became available for people who were not AP or DVC - and then even after some the dates sold out, Disney added more tickets for most of the sold out dates. If you look now, some of the dates for Boo Bash are still available right now (end of august, early to mid-September) - but all dates in October are sold out. So I think it depends on what date you're planning on going on how hard or easy it will be to get.

I wonder if Disney will be smart enough to allow online sales for AP/DVC owners instead of forcing you to call and stay on hold forever.

I don't see why AP/DVC/Resort guests can't buy online either. Put in your booking number/pass number etc. on the booking form or something?

I know for Boo Bash it was phone only - at least for DVC Members. I agree you should be able to buy online - but Disney didn't allow it for Boo Bash.

You think they would make it easier for their staff wouldn't you?

OK - Be prepared to laugh at me because what I am about to say is complete pie in the sky wishful thinking!

I'm hoping the reason they haven't announced the dates and when they go on sale yet is because their IT dept is diligently working to allow the people eligible for early ticket sales to be able to book online. Then we can avoid what was a total meltdown of the phone system that occurred during the first couple of days of early sales for Boo Bash.

That's realistic, right? :flower1:

It worked for Boo Bash, so don't see why it wouldn't again.

I spoke to DISNEY HELP CHAT this morning and their response was...

"You would purchase them directly through Disney. If we do an early release for resort guests, you will probably have to purchase by phone. They are only available to purchase online when sales are open to all guests."

They told me to keep an eye on (2) website links for daily updates.

The only thing we have to compare it to is Boo Bash this year because this isn't like MVMCP. With previous Christmas parties tickets remained available even up to day of. But, capacity is lower and it is also the 50th Anniversary. My belief is they won't sell out immediately but, I would get them as soon as you are able to since we just don't know.

The only current comparison is for Boo Bash, which did not sell out immediately but did sell out eventually for many dates. It would be better to purchase when first available to you though, if you know for sure that you want to go and you know the date(s). Also, if you call to purchase, be prepared to wait a very, very, very, not merriest long time, as in possibly/probably hours to get tickets on first days of sale. Many people have reported holding for much longer than the actual events last! You have to decide if it's worth your time to do that versus possibly not getting the date you want if you wait. Good luck!

Foolish Mortal!

But I do like your optimism! AND I actually hope you are right!

You are funny :tigger:

So you want them to raise the prices even more. Strange.
No, I want a normal experience, regardless of price. I could care less what the cost is, I want the normal Disney experience and Disney is giving something much less than that for a lot more money. So the money is not my concern at all, it is the experience being given that is the concern

And has been said a million times, with the country's current workforce problems across all industries, companies, and most importantly service industries, that just may not be possible at the moment regardless of cost. If money isn't a concern, there are always personal tours, etc.
