Looks like your first day at epcot was great! The test track pics are great, the sleepy one is too funny! I would have loved to meet some princess's but I don't seem to get to. Hmmm that hat looks like one I might have seen before...LOL

If you ever stay there, it was a great location. And, your right, it counts the most one the way back, tired & ready to get to bed!

We loved Akershus for breakfast too! I don't think you're ever too old to have breakfast with the princesses and thankfully Jasmine agrees with me

I love the fact that even though you hated the hat you let him get it.

It was a last minute decision to go there. I made the Akershus reservation about 2 wks before the trip & I'm glad I did.
The hat episode is probably just giving me some experience of what I'll be going through in a few years with his clothes, hair, etc...

Wow, that Belle is beautiful! I have only met her once or twice in her gown. It looks gorgeous!

Love the pic of everyone "sleeping" on Test Track. The other two in your car don't look too thrilled to be on the ride, so they might as well have been sleeping for real!

So that's how you had a flashback of the furry hat from earlier. I can't wait to see if he ends up keeping it on the rest of the trip. It sure does look like it would be hot!

nice updates!!! Sorry about the hat drama! I felt the same way about the room text when we were in Epcot in March! We finally got ours too but it was just after 3..I had called the front desk, they said the room was ready, and as we were walking out, we got the text!

It was late like that when we received ours. We were having fun, so it was ok, but I thought it would've been a lot earlier especially since we checked in around 8 am.

Excellent update! I love World Showcase SO much!!! So excited to see pictures of the room! I've never been to that resort, but I'd love the chance to resort hop sometime in the future. There's never enough time at Disney!

You're right there is never enough time! I always think we can get everything done, but we don't. I guess that's so you'll have to come back .
I would love to be able to stay at every resort at least once.

Love this update!! I love the hat part the best, too funny and the conversation is sooooo familiar to me!! You're a good Mommy, sometimes we have to chose our battles and Brad was right (and Todd, too, in our case....) at least he wants to wear a Disney hat!!!!But I so get it!!!

Could your family be any cuter, I mean really...Glad to see the boys getting in the princess pic taking action. It is very hard when they pick things we don't like. We are now to this stage here. Luckily I still pack for them so they will wear what I want. Cayley really wanted me to get a Chip or Dale hat cause I them. She would yell, "Mama, there is ur buddy" everytime she saw one. it was cute the first 10 times

Thanks for the compliments! The princesses are all great at WDW w/boys. A lot of them would tell Levi to get up & have his picture made with them.

The hat story was too funny! You had me laughing as you increased the bribe to get him to go with another. Glad you let him get it. That thing has to be so rough in the heat so I am wondering how long it's going to last on his head!

Levi was a trooper wearing the hat in the heat. I think he never wanted to admit it was too hot

Hah! I remember seeing that hat and thinking it would be uncomfortably warm. There was also someone wearing one at the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor and the Monsters were making fun of the kid like crazy..."Ah...it's a giant rodent!"

Though for all that, I didn't think it a bad hat. The people wearing the hat's that were Donald's butt...now THAT'S a bad hat!

He did want a Donald hat, but he didn't want Donold's tail. I guess I can be thankful it wasn't Donald's butt he wanted!

I had to pop in to comment so I don't forget. I am getting ready to read about check in. Thank you for the chapter links in each post! I am missing everyone else's comments, but if I don't take your short cuts, I may never finish!!!

~DH and I love the "get there quicker than the GPS" game too! We totally worry when we stop for gas, etc...look at the time we lost...

~love that Lexi surrounds herself with her stuffed animals...my comments will probably be mostly about her since I have my girls. My girls bought dolphins our last trip (what says Disney like dolphins? ) The trip before, they bought flamigos and bats. All of their animals have come from Animal Kingdom Lodge. (Sadly, my girls are not into Disney characters.)

I love it when a TR has Links. It's hard to catch up on a report if it doesn't have them.

Glad to hear we're not the only ones that like to GPS time watch. It does stress you out too, like your talking about, everytime you do something that makes your timer later.

That's funny that your girls bought dolphins & other animals, but are not into Disney characters, especially since they are mostly animals too!

You're girls w/minnie toes will look 2 cute!

Love the hats!! Karma rocks, don't you think? hehe. I was happy that my girls wore a special shirt one day at Disney. No mouse ears for them. Also, my daughters want no parts of the adorable clothes you put on Lexi, so there are many days I shake my head at the outfits they put together. (They began this decision making around age 3...I am comfortable picking battles: church, special occasions, etc.)

Can't wait to read more!

Your right about picking out clothes battles. But, your girls do a great job picking out their clothes, they always looked pretty in your TR.

Love the test track pictures, even though it looks like you had some sourpusses in your last one! Would have been even cuter with just your fam.

So funny about Levi getting the Dale hat. I bet he regretted that, well at least being hot in it.

I really didn't see how online check-in would guarantee a room would be ready, but it would be a nice perk.

They did look like sourpusses! I didn't notice until I posted the picture on the TR. I wish so much we could've had at least one picture with just our family.
After that hat battle, Levi would've never mention regretting it, even though he probably lost 10 of his 70 lbs from sweating!
It would be a nice perk if you were able to get your room when you arrived, especially if you were able to get there early like we did.

Thank you! I know & Levi USUALLY has good taste! It was the karma's fault! I know now not to think bad of anyone else clothing choices!

DH & DS are fairly laid back so they don't mind posing with the princesses.

Hi Amy! I'm caught up, using your handy-dandy links.

So far it looks like the makings of a great vacation. I really liked the first Test Track pic, great expressions on that one. My favorite of the hats was the popcorn one...I hadn't noticed it when we were there.

We went to ride Mission Space. We do Green side because Brad cannot do spinning rides & he’s afraid Orange might make him sick .

Lexi & Levi love Mission Space. They are always really into making sure they do their job correctly.
We go to Inoventions East. The 1st thing we tried was Sum of All Thrills. Brad & Levi went together and Lexi & I went together. Lexi designed her thrill ride, then we went to ride it. Lexi didn’t realize that we were going to ride the rollercoaster she designed. Lexi told the CM that she was scared because she wouldn’t have put in high hills & corkscrew loops if she knew we were going to be doing her design. The older CM told Lexi that having to look at him was scarier than the ride would be.
We all did our ride simulator & it was fun! The kids kept asking to do it again, but we never got around to it.
I did not get a picture of us in the robotic simulator, but here is a picture of them sitting in a design of the seat.

Next, we did Storm Struck. Lexi/Levi liked pressing the buttons for the answers. During the show, around 4:00, we finally received our text that our room was ready!!!
We left to hop on the bus to CBR resort! We knew we needed to book it, get our van unpacked & hurry back for our Beirgarten dinner reservations.





As soon as we were on the bus, Lexi fell asleep.

Here we are carrying our luggage up to our room on the 2nd floor.

We quickly unpack because I know we’ll be too tired when we get back. Lexi & I decorate our window.
(Marvali, how do you like our lights around the window?)

We go to the bus stop & wait for the Epcot bus. We still have not had the chance to look around the resort yet.
Back at Epcot, we’re pushing it to get to the reservation on time. But, 1st we have to get a PP picture. My family knows better to complain about having to stop for pictures, they’ve been warned!

We high-tail it to Beirgarten, give them our name & we’re only 5 minutes late.

This day has been perfect, low crowds, great weather & NO humidity! That was the very best part, my hair still looked like it did when we left our hotel this morning. I couldn’t believe it!
One of my friends is coming to WDW the week after us. I sent her a text letting her know that the weather is great & that I’m having a great hair day with no humidity! She has long, thick hair too, so this is important information.

We’re called in Beirgarten. It is beautiful inside! I’m wondering where we’ll be sitting because I know it will be with other families. We were seated in the 2nd tier against the balcony railing. Perfect seats for watching the show! We were the 1st family to be seated, then another family of four was seated by us in the middle of the table, then a group of two men were seated at the end of the table.

I would not have enjoyed being in the middle & or the other end.
We talked with the family beside us & they were very nice. I don’t remember what state they were from but I remember they were from the mid-west. The only awkward part for me about sitting with others is wondering 'Do I need to talk to the family next to me or would they rather be left alone?' You just don't know what to do.
The food was great, sorry but no pictures again. I remember the pretzel rolls & soup being soooooo good! There was not a lot of variety that Lexi & Levi liked because they’re not adventurous eaters. They did get plenty of seconds of what they did like, no one left hungry.
The show started while we ate & it was fun to watch.

This is a fun restaurant with the entertainment. I would highly recommend it even if you think you will feel awkward sitting with someone else.



When we left it was close to the top of the hour, so we watched the clock tower. I thought something would come out? Nothing ever did.

I said before, we’ve never been to WS before & everything is exciting the 1st time. I can’t wait to walk around the world.

The model trains were pretty cool.

We visit Italy

In the US, we watched the American Adventure. Levi loves history & enjoyed the show.

I find out that WS is where everyone goes at night when it's cooler. There is no crowd during the day when it’s hot, but it’s packed at night.

In Morocco, we listened to Mo Rockin.

In France I had to find the Grey Goose Slushie that Queenofallthings talks about. We find the station & the line is LOOOONG. I waited about 20 min & got my 1st Grey Goose Slushie!
Now, in Queenofallthings TR, her Grey Goose Slushie is in a BIG cup. My GGS is in a martini shaped cup. I’m walking, it’s super crowded, & a kid bumps into me & spills ½ the drink on me.
I better sit down & enjoy the remainder of my drink.

Lexi & Levi were so thirsty & they want my drink. I felt sorry for them because I know my slushie drink must have looked really good to them! I tell them they can’t have my drink, but we’ll buy them something else. Every country we went through, the lines would be sooooo long. I think we finally found a water fountain for them.




We find a place to sit for Illuminations. I looked down & saw Levi scratching Lexi’s back. I had to take a picture for proof that he can be sweet to his sister.

We watched Illuminations & left the park. My goal is to get a night picture of us in front of the Epcot ball.

It's been a GREAT 1st day. We make it back to our room & crash.
We have a early reservation with the #1 princess in the morning.

Thanks for the inside look at Biergarten too - I had never seen or even thought to check it out before, but now im thinking of booking it next trip.

... and dont hate me for this, but even in the heat Im shocked (and secretly loving) the fact that Levi kept that hat on all day!! Hilarious! I dont even know if its Chip or Dale... red or black nose, but which is which!? Thanks for more great updates!
