Just read your entire trip report. What a beautiful family! Loved the matching shirts and great photos with the characters!

What an awesome last day and great pictures to capture it! Love that your lines were nonexistent!!!

It was a great last day with almost no wait in all lines. The sad part was that it was the end of the week & my energy really started to drain this day!

Sounds like a perfect day!!! Even if it was the last one...

I love the matching shirts!!! Too cute!!! My husband isn't a matching shirt kind of guy either... I think I may have my daughter hand him his shirt to wear if we match one day... how can you say no to your princess?

I think I will try that trick next time too. Just have DD to give him the shirt as a gift to wear!

I really started laughing when I saw how wet your DH got on Splash! Too funny!

My DH doens't wear matching t's either. Oh well, less work for me!

And, I didn't even want to post my post-Splash picture, my hair was fried! Me with wet hair + 95 temp + 100% humidity does not = a good thing!

Nice update Amy! Wow, I can't believe how empty the park looks.

I was amazed at how empty the park was that day. It was closing early (I think 7:00) that day unless MNNSHP tickets. I guess that kept a lot of people away.

You guys really got soaked on Splash Mountain. I usually make it off of that one relatively unscathed, so far anyway.

I thought I was a pro at avoiding getting wet until this ride.

Yeah, it was hot. We did not stay wet long at all. My hair just looked like this

I'm always nervous when I go on vacation at WDW it will rain the whole week. Both times, we have really been blessed.
I have a friend who has taken her family to NYC for the 1st time this week. I'm been following her on FB & it has been pouring on them everyday. I feel so sorry for her kids

Today was our last full day at WDW. Boo hoo!
We woke up early, ate brkfst in room, & made it MK for the Opening Ceremony.

My lens is still fogged up.

I hate when that happens!!!

Today, we wore matching shirts!

Very nice, but us guys would never be caught wearing something like that.......

Well, everyone had on matching shirts except for Brad. Once we were in the parks, it made me wish that I did make one for Brad & made him wear it.

See.....

The crowds were super low. The lowest that we had seen. MK was closing early today for MNNSHP. I guess guest w/out Park Hoppers did not come this park today. I made a mental note to remember in the future to always come to MK on the day they have MNNSHP because there will be no crowds.

I love days like that! Will have to keep that tip in mind.

We have had the best luck in that we have avoided getting wet on this ride. Our luck ended today.


The timed shooting spray shot up on us & there was nowhere to hide!

We have been staying so busy with Lexi & Levi's school & sports. Brad coaches Levi's ballteam & their last game was last night & All-Stars should start soon.
I've been planning the 5th grade graduation & party. I'm not taking that my babies are growing up on me well at all. I have really been so sad these past days just thinking about them leaving elementary school & the changes coming. Only 5 more school days left.





On with our last full WDW day ~




We made our way to

Somehow we missed this on our last trip, so this was another 1st for us.

We played in the caves & on the playground.

We were able to see the ferry go by which was pretty cool.

The best part was going to

Levi (& Brad)had a blast in here. What boy wouldn’t? It’s a boy's dream come true, shooting at the bad guys.

It’s lunchtime & we ate at CHH. We had a great window seat upstairs where we were able to watch everyone. I love people watching!


I remembered my Dis duty & took food pics:

We rode Haunted Mansion after this. I love that ride, it’s one of my favorites.
I still had my drink from CHH house with me. I did not want to give it up yet because it was so hot.

When we started to get into our haunted ‘car’, a CM worker came over, smiled & said “I’ll hold that drink for you”.

I said, “Thank you”

Then, Clunk! She threw it in the trashcan! I was stunned at 1st, then I just had to laugh.



We went to Adventureland.

Like I've said 100x, it was a hot day & Levi enjoyed getting sprayed.

Yay on going to Tom Sawyer Island - it looks like a great place to spend some time. Loving all the pics.

I can't wait to eat at CHH.

Can't believe the HM CM threw your drink in the bin - I so wouldn't have expected that to happen. I suppose like you said you just have to laugh it off

I love Tom Sawyer Island! I always feel like we are getting away from Disney just a bit when we go here. (a little side vacation )

I can't believe the cm took your drink and through it away. I mean.. I understand not having it on the ride, but she could have told you she needed it thrown out.

And... beautiful food pics. I like CHH... I ended up eating there alone last spring.... and couldn't get anyone to go last fall so missed it entirely. Not next trip! I am so sitting by the window just like you did. I love it there.

Didn't think much of Tom Sawyer island when we finally got there a few trips ago...and haven't been back. But totally love CHH! Favorite TS at MK hands down. We had that salad last time as a "light" meal (yeah right). Plus there never seems to be a problem getting a seat in there, and the upstairs is usually fairly sparsely populated. A nice cool-down from the heat!

i wish i had seen your pics of Tom Sawyer's island before our trip. I kept trying to get DH to go over there and he kept saying what's the point. i couldn't explain it well enough to interest him. if i had said playgrounds and gun shooting, he would have been all for it
i had no idea they had that salad at CHH. last time i got a salad there, they had some very bland grilled chicken. i skipped the salad there this time but that looks very good.
congrats on the lasik! one more prescription change and i am legally blind. i can't drive in glasses because they arent close enough to my eyes. i'm just scared something will botch it and then i really will be blind.

The kids had a great time at TSI, especially in the caves & fort.

Levi really enjoyed the fort at TSI, but I can see where it may not be a 'do' on every trip.

CHH is a great deal for a quick service meal & you're right, the upstairs was pretty empty.

I didn't have any clue what was at TMI. I think that's why we missed it last trip. At least you have something new to experience on you next trip.

I say if you ever get the chance you should go for the lasik. It is so freeing not having to worry about putting in & taking out contacts every morning & night. I still have not gotten used to it.
I've heard, unofficially, there are no cases where someone went blind from the surgery. You could always have just one eye done if you're nervous about it. The Dr. told me that a lot of people do that. You would only have to wear one contact then & you could get the 2nd eye done at a later time.

Tom Sawyer's Island looks like a lot of fun, this is one spot of WDW I've never been to and would be curious how it compares to the Disneyland one which we always find fun.

Your lunch at CHH looks really good, especially the salad.

Lol I would have been shocked at the cm chucking your drink out, but as you said there wouldn't be much to do but laugh

This time of the year is rough. i'm feeling sad too because i do NOT want to leave high school It's so sad. Changes are hard sometimes. Growing up is too complicated.

But aww I'm glad you guys enjoyed Tom Sawyer Island. I really want to try Columbia Harbor houe one day too! It looks yummy
