Disney Universal Trip

Just back from a week in Florida. Booked Jetsgo tickets from Toronto to Sanford. A week at Vistana through Skyauction and a rental car. We had a wonderful week. In the evenings we were close enough to drive to Disney and explore the hotels and watch the fireworks from the Poly. Spent one night at the Royal Pacifac to enable us to have 2 days FOTL at Universal. This was the highlight of the trip. Managed to get the Fan club rate and was not asked about the membership card. Used CAA card throughout parks for Margaritaville and gifts and well anything Also spent a day at the Magic Kingdom and fully utilized Fastpass. All in all a wonderful vacation. Should have taken more luggage to do more shopping, the selection is wonderful in the malls.

Welcome back Rebecca. Glad you didn't have a problem with your Fun Card...I have the HRH booked with it and have been a little worried lately. I can't wait to experience FOTL. How did you find it...any tips about US/IOA to pass on?

Edited to add: I have the FUN Card...was just worried about being "hassled" about it at check-in.

Welcome back Rebecca! Glad to hear your trip was wonderful! We are doing the one night/2days at Universal too and I'm really looking forward to having FOTL at the parks this time.

Check - in was a breeze. They didn't ask about the Fan Club Card or for proof of the Leows membership. They asked what I would like delivered to the room...wine of course and it was there at the time I requested. They gave me a late check-out as requested. The room was ready at 8 am. Perfect. Used our CAA card for discounts on food and souvies. Two days with front of the line was enough. Another time we would spend some time by the hotel and pool and having nice dinners out. I'd feel very confident letting the kids float in the parks with us at the hotel. We carried lots of water with us which was really important. Starbucks was nice to have in the park and citywalk.

We loved Universal but I have to admit we needed a MK fix and some fireworks to round out the week!

We have a cabana booked at the HRH and are really looking forward to spending a day by the pool...it looks so beautiful and relaxing.
