I think its upto your DD to decide, while at Junior school & 1st year at High school we took the decision, we felt he would benefit more from travel than stuck in a classroom. Now he is 17 he feels he doesn't want to miss a single lesson but he is a bit of a perfectionist, aiming for 3 A levels grade A hoping for A*'s.

Becs is like that too, she's in her last year at school and she already has a job at pets at home in the aquatics dept which she loves, I should have thought it through more but really wanted to go for Xmas/ Halloween as only done Disney Paris at this time!

Let me see if I got this right, I only need the US 12 digit code if I want to do the 180 + 10 thing? And what is the difference between having the reservation connected to our hotel and not having it to our hotel? And does that mean I can just use my 6 digit UK code if I just want to make one reservation? I'm only planing to go to CP for now, as both I and my BF wants a character meal. I might go to Hollywood and Wine as well, but I've always been able to be a walk in there, especially in Sept when the crowds are low, so not sure if I'll book that one at all.

If you are not doing the free dining plan and only doing the odd ADR you don't need to link to your hotel. Anyone can make an ADR onsite or offsite.
You only need your 12 digit US number if you want to book 10 days at once 180 days out.

Thanks for the advice - I wouldn't have realised I needed this for a holiday booked via Disney UK. Booked with Complete Orlando and emailed Disney last year. We definitely want to do the 180+10 thing.

Anyway, emailed yesterday and I now have my reference number - ready to book in 3 weeks time!
