Disney Twins Do DCL A Pre Trip Report

180 day UPDATE:
Greetings everyone!

Today is our 180 mark for our post cruise stay . Shauna woke up at 8am to book our only dining reservation for Via Napoli for Friday the 14th, we plan to switch this out for a Candlelight Processional package when they are released for around the same time. I woke up about an hour later and asked Shauna if there were still alot of restaurants left and she said she didn't look so I went ahead and log on to find a Cinderella's Royal Table for Sunday the 17th at 8:15am, I've always wanted to eat there and this would have been awesome if we didn't have to pay $137 dollars out of pocket, I didn't end up booking it, we are going to try and get it when we do our next big vacation with the dining plan to use. Instead I booked us a lunch at the Plaza for that Sunday at 1:00pm.

Funny story, the first time I booked the Plaza was for TODAY at 1:00pm! I had to call in and have it canceled, they were very understanding and I was only on the phone for 5 minutes.

We've also narrowed done our 4 Park Challenge Plans, we will be doing a ride, meeting a character and getting a snack at each park. If time allows another ride or character will be added.
MK- Big Thunder Mountain, Cinderella and getting a waffle from Sleepy Hallow
AK- Kilimanjaro safari, Pocahontas and getting a mickey pretzel (really want to do Zebra Domes or something else AK only but couldn't think of anything else)
HS- Slinky Dog coaster, Rotating character at One's Man Dream (currently Star Lord and Baby Groot but we think this will change soon) and getting funnel cake
EP- Living with Land , Mulan and getting something from Karamell-Kuche in Germany

I've done that before too. lol The CM said it happens a lot.

I like this plan! I especially like the snack in each park.

Days Till Cruise: 155 days

I can't believe our trip is quickly approaching. Shauna is still work hard on our fish extender gifts, next project koozies. I was happy to see that the Candlelight Processional Dining Packages would be released next week and that we will be having Blair Underwood as our narrator (we love Quantico so this will be a treat) for the night we picked. I'm also surprised to see that Toy Story Land is having much shorter wait times then I expected so hopefully that will play well into our 4 park challenge day.

In a fun turn of events,( fun fact about me, I like to enter sweepstakes, winning is kind of my thing) Today I was notified that I won a $500 Disney gift card from an Instagram sweepstakes!

^^^^ that's pretty much how I acted when I got the notification lol Now I don't have to worry about souvenir money because it's all taken care of now. One less thing to worry about. Now if only I could win some on board ship credit next lol

Days until Cruise: 141 days

Hi all! Here are some quick updates!

• We were able to snag a Candlelight Processional Package for Via Napoli for dinner and the first showing. Our narrator will be Blair Underwood from Quantico!
• We bought our Disney Cruise Line spirit jerseys!
• I plan to have the cruise paid in full a month before the pay in full date.
• We've earned enough money to pay for our Candlelight Processional Package with the reward dollars we earned from the Disney Visa.
• Sarah has started looking into the best room to request for Coronado Springs. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I am so ready for this trip!

Hopefully on the next report I will be able to post a few more fish extender gifts I've finished! See you next time!

104 Days to go!

Hello everyone! August has flown by lol On Saturday our town was hit by a random hail storm, luckily our home and cars are okay just a few dents. We've have alot of stuff planned for the next couple of months that should make the wait fly by more lol

We are going to see The Lion King and Whose's Live Anyway next month and in October we make our pilgrimage to Nashville to see Ginger Jesus (Ed Sheeran) hahaha

And in November we get to go to the Indianapolis Colts game and sit in the 10th row! I can't wait!

I wanted to share with you some Disney mail that came today. We ordered a custom port hole magnet from a great shop on etsy. We are 90s babies and we love The Goofy movie. So what better way to show our love then by getting a powerline magnet!

It's even better than I imagined!

I will be posting an update after I get done helping with a community event! It has taken up a lot of my free time this year!

We are at 75 days left until our cruise which means today was check in day!

We are not planning on doing to much but wanted to get a Palo brunch! Unfortunately, they were gone when I checked in this morning (12 AM) so I went ahead and made a Palo dinner reservation. Hopefully a Palo brunch opens up and we can switch from dinner. I just know I would like more on the brunch menu.

I also picked up some tickets for the Princess Meet and Greet, because why not?

Sarah booked a champagne tasting. We both don't really drink so that should be interesting. The tasting is a few hours before the Sail Away party.

I will post some photos of our fish extender gifts in the next few weeks as I slowly start to get back to cruise planning!

Just like with DW dining, keep checking back for those Palo Brunch reservations! Also, you can check as soon as you get on the ship as well. They tend to hold a few reservations back. But make it the VERY first thing that you do.

The best advice I have is to enjoy yourself and don't try to do everything! The Dream is a HUGE ship and 4 days is not a lot of time. Once you get your navigator for the day, make a plan, but be flexible! I always manage to stumble into something that I wasn't even aware was going on and enjoy myself so much!

Also, lunch at Serenity Bay (Adults Only on Castaway Cay) is the best lunch on the island in my opinion. I always try to get out there before lunch closes and fill a plate and bring it out to my beach chair.

Days until our cruise: 46 days

We have been so busy with the craziness of life it is time for another update! We have almost all of our fish extender gifts done! Our group moderators will be closing the groups on Monday so I can start labeling and packing everything next week! This is going to be a very photo heavy update, so here it goes.

We have koozies for the men, some gift tags, oven mitts for the women and a pirate cap for the men.

I also never posted our fish extender, here it is. I made it with the nursery organizer from Walmart, fabric, ribbon and lots of hot glue.

Here is a little life update. Sarah, our mom and I had an amazing opportunity to check out The Lion King when it stopped in Indianapolis for a few weeks! I definitely recommend seeing if you can!

That's all I have for today! I will post more fish extender gifts, some things we've purchased for our cruise to make it a smooth sailing and more updates as we get closer!

26 Days until cruise day!

All of our fish extender gifts are packed up and ready to go. Because we are flying on Southwest we get two checked bags for free so we are using an extra suitcase to get the gifts to the ship. We'll then have an extra suitcase for souvenirs

I've ordered two more Christmas shirts for our cruise, one I have to return, they sent the wrong size and one should arrive just in time. I think every shirt I have packed so far is either Disney or Christmas related haha


Life Update:
We bought tickets to see KISS in March, Dear Evan Hansen in May and the Backstreet Boys in September! I can't wait! At least these are all paid for because we are looking at building a house, this cruise and the post WDW stay will be our last for bit of time until we are in a good spot and can afford to go back.

I can not believe we have made it to 14 days! These next two weeks are going to fly by.

The sea is calling us...

I'm pretty much packed just need to add a few more items, I don't think Shauna has officially started packing . The packing cubes have amazed me. How can they fit so much stuff?

Tomorrow we are going to the store to buy the last bit of supplies and then we should be about 90% ready to go.

Packing is done and we are ready to roll for the most part.

Weather looks nice so far, it'll be good to get away from the cold air for a bit.

Starting to think of questions that I think I know the answers to like....Will they give us tags for our luggage at MCO when we load the bus?

I think we are going to try and keep an eye on wait times at the parks too so we can judge our 4 park challenge day.

I can't believe it we are in Orlando right now and board the ship tomorrow morning. Shauna says our PAT is 10:45am so we will need to leave MCO around 9:30ish. The booklet we got in the mail and no information on this process so we are seeking our answers from our cruise group and the interwebs lol
