Disney TV at Sears for $29! Better Hurry

Charges (for more than I actually spent) are STILL pending on my credit card.. It's really annoying..

When I worked for Expedia I learned not to use debit cards to buy things online, so I used a credit card.. That has had double what it should on it pending from Sears!

I know what you mean. I had two orders and I have 1 charge and 2 charges from Sears!

I am not so low on money that this is going to kill me, but I have started Christmas shopping for my four kids and this coming out of my bank account does bother me because there might be something that comes up that I will not buy until my money is back in my account.

If it came from your bank account, then you must have used a Debit card. I am referring to a credit card. With a credit card no money would ever come our of your bank account.
 
Oh great just checked my Disney Visa online and there is an actual charge posted today for the 2 TVs I had ordered! What is going on with this company? It was pending the last few days but today it posted. They arent even supposed to post and charge you until you pick it up or have it shipped. That is how online companies are!
 

i was at sears not the one i had my tv delivered and had asked if they had tvs instock, they did and they said they would have honor my order if i can have the order switch to their store. of course in order to do that i would have to cancel the first order and then reorder and have it deliver to their store. Cant reorder the tv if its no longer available on sears .com :rotfl:

my order still says processed . :teeth:
 
I probably have the two charges also.............and what really gets me is the disclaimer that it may take up to TWO MONTHS for this to be credited back.

Well, I was successsful in picking mine up today, but I did have a few problems. The merchandise pick-up people said I had to pick them up in Electronics and the Electronics said they were at merchandise pick up. A manager helped work it out and walked me to MPU and made sure I got them in my car. I did take about 30 minutes and there were about 5 very confused people helping me, but it worked.
This was after I got the email that my order was cancelled. I figured I would try since today was my pick-up day.

I have not received any emails either and my order is also still showing processed, to be picked up on the 27th. My charges went through yesterday morning. I am more concerned at this point about how long it will take to get my money back, not that it is alot. I can understand that it may take some time to process the refund, but anything more than a day or two is completely unacceptable IMO.
 
I received my email this morning saying they cancelled it but it states processed and ready to be picked up on the 26th on their website and they still have a charge on my sears card..
 
I placed an order early Sat. morning and received my cancellation email last night. The charge had gone thru on Sat. but I hope to receive my credit soon. I won't have a tv but I am sure the credit card stuff will all work out!!!!
 
Not from Sears of course! :rolleyes2 I was in Best Buy today and they had the floor model on clearance for $59.99 (STILL a great deal!) I just so happened to have my printout from Sears.com and asked the guy if they would price match it. He said "sure" without a second thought. Now THAT's great customer service! The next time I am in the market for electronics I sure won't be shopping at Sears! Best Buy has my business from now on! ::yes::
 
I had ordered on sunday, went to check status of order on monday, said it was being processed, no charges on my cc. I checked today on sears.com to see the status was there was no status. There was nothing, checked my cc and the pending charges went through, so I have a balance of the tv on cc. I called sears up, I talked to a very nice man who had to put me on hold then told me that it was a price mistake and that I would get an email canceling my order. I did get an email a couple of hours later. He said that some people "might" have gotten into their computer system. Hmmmmm, but my cc would be credited. Well, no tv, but charges, hmmmmm....I don't know about that one.
 
We ordered Sunday and got our cancellation today, but not money. @@

I did report it to the FTC.
 
Just a small update...I checked my CC and this is what I currently have on it after trying to place two order for two different stores...I had a charge for $31.47 yesterday and I had 2 pending $31.47 charges. Today I have the first $31.47, a credit for $31.47 and then another charge for $31.47 so now I'm waiting on the credit for that second charge. The third pending charge did go away.

I bet they are doing these credits ASAP!!
 
I ordered mine Saturday morning and it is still saying in process. I was able to order another one Sunday morning but this time picked a store in my area that had them in stock. I got the pick up notice about two hours later and headed to the store and got it. Great - my DDs Christmas present. Monday night, I got a cancellation notice for I'm assuming the one I ordered on Saturday. I checked my credit card online and found a charge for $31.77, a credit for $31.77 and another charge for $31.77. It looks like I'm ok. As of today my account on Sears.com still shows one order processed and the other ready for pickup. :confused3

I still say Sears should have honored the price for those of us who ordered and removed the ad from their website PERMANENTLY. My hubby used to work for Sears and he said they usually have one person doing price updates and since it was the weekend, that person probably wasn't working. He also said that since the TV came back on the site after midnight, it was probably just temporarily removed since the people there didn't know how to remove it so we couldn't order it again. Obviously the person who knows how to do this came into to work on Monday and fixed it since it hasn't been on the site since. This is not our problem - it's Sears for not having anyone available to correctly fix the situation.

Great for everyone filing complaints against them.
 
Any refunds yet? I just got hit with the charge on my credit card, and I noticed that the cancellation e-mail doesn't even reference the charge or a credit.
 
My refund was in my account this morning. That ends the saga on this end.
