Read the whole thing, ball was dropped on both sides. Hmm....$ 150.00 tv for $30.00 - sounds too good to be true! Yes, Sears is wrong for not contacting each and every customer to cancel these orders. I'm also sure that everyone who has received "free" tvs has contacted Sears to get the charge straightened out! This is a public relations nightmare! Perhaps if Sears had done what The
Disney Store did several years ago and shut down the site for the weekend(due to redemption of an internet spread code that many were not eligible to use) then you all would not have even had the opportunity to try to order the tv. I tried to access that item all weekend to see why the feeding frenzy, but the Sears.com link to the item would not work. I had no intention of purchasing, yet I find it interesting that many posters feel that Sears should be obligated to honor what was indeed a pricing error. Do they owe anyone more than an apology, no! While complaint after complaint is registered about this, it all still boils down to being an error. McDonalds ran the Monopoly contest and had a corrupt production company that rigged the prizes yet people flocked there for the Disney toys. Errors happen everyday and this is one that got exploited. Had it been a few units, no one ever would have heard of this.
