it DID involve Mickey Mouse....

There were about a hundred prototypes, but not mass-produced due to rubber shortage...

It was something almost every good-thinking person owned and was also used by the military....

and lastly, it used Mickey Mouse to be "less scary" to children...

That's correct Minnie, it was a Gas Mask. It was designed so little children that had to put it on were not scared because it had an image of Mickey Mouse on it.

I have no idea on the Rolph von Wolfgang question...but I'll guess he was the villian in "Escape to Witch Mountain..."

I think this is stumping everyone.. I have the SLIGHTEST idea... but i'll probably kick myself when I hear the answer.

Okay, a little more information...

Rolph had nobody to watch him at home (I suppose) so he went to work with one of the tree trimmers working at the Golden Oaks Ranch. He was discovered while playing with the tree trimmer during a break. He made his movie debut as the star of the movie we are looking for in 1972.

After doing a little digging, I found 4 Disney movies from 1972...but I'll guess it was called "The Buscuit Eater"
