OK gang...I know we have been playing Parks Game trivia over on the theme parks board for over a year-and-a-half now...but I've been thinking...is the game too narrow? Is there room for a trivia game that encompasses everything Disney???
So, I decided to start a new game to go along with our beloved WDW Parks Game...

Here are the rules....
1)Try to keep the questions to one at a time Bolding the new questions so they are easier to find....
2)Whoever is the first to answer a question gets to ask the next one...
3) All Disney trivia is fair game...execpt for questions involving the theme parks of WDW...see, we have a seperate game for those on the theme parks board...for Parks Game questions...click here

The WDW Parks Game!

For all other Disney questions...let the game begin...

I'll kick it off with a basic one...
What is Walt Disney's birthday?

Good Luck!

I guess this game isn't for me. I don't even know the answer to the "basic" question!:(

FOJMO...don't worry...stick around...it's fun :)

and besides this is an "open book/search engine" quiz game if you get my meaning...:0

Walter Elias Disney was born on December 5, 1901.

Higgs....is this where you're finally going to put your Disneyland questions? :p

OK Granny it looks like you get to ask the next question;)

LOL...way to go Granny...:)

You got it...hmmm...Dec. 5...a fine day to be born if I do say so myself...:)

Anyway...yup...I can get the DL questions (and a bunch of other ones) out of my system here...LOL

But it looks like you're up now Granny! :)

December 5, 1901 -- oops to slow!

My turn to ask?

What was originally in the building that now houses TEST TRACK?

/
No, I believe it's Granny's turn...

Well, at the risk of having two open questions, I'll toss out another WED question:

What was Walt Disney doing when seized with the inspiration to draw Mickey Mouse for the first time?

Hi kinlaw...looks like you posted the same time as me...you got the right answer on Walt's birthday...(but Granny was faster :))
And Test Track is housed in the old World of Motion building...

Oh BTW...just to let you know...we are trying to keep all WDW theme park questions for our Parks Game on the Theme Park board (see my first post fro the link) go on over...we have a blast there...and newcomers are always welcome...

Granny...was Walt on a train heading west from New York after losing the rights to Oswald the Lucky Rabbit when he got the idea for Mickey...

Granny wasn't he on a train from his home in Missouri with his beloved Lillian?

And Kinlaw was the building home to our beloved Horizons?

HI! Granny I have no idea but I'll guess anyway...
Was he shaving?

Kinlaw that question might be good for the parks game, see the link above:D

Higgs...you got in there before Jen....yes, he was on a train as you described.

Ball's back in your court for the next question! :)

Oh, I just noticed that Higgs and Jen posted in the same minute. Dragging over the rule from the Parks Game, I'm awarding both Higgs and Jen an Ask A Question card for their responses! :)

Thanks Granny:)

Keeping with the WED theme ...

What was the original name of Mickey Mouse? Bonus: Who convinced him to change the name to Mickey Mouse?

LOL...way to be a diplomat Granny!

OK...here goes...
We all know Mickey made his debut in Steamboat Willie...but what was the name of the cartoon where Donald Duck made his first appearance?

In the grand tradition...DJen and I posted at the same time! Great minds DO think alike :)

DJen...Mickey's original name was Mortimer...and Lilian Disney was the one who convinced Walt to change his name...

Higgsi we do think alike ... you should be very afraid;)

Yes, you are correct. Lillian Disney suggested the change of name from Mortimer to Mickey.

Oh I am afraid :)
Anyway...I have an open question out there...so I'll just let that one stand!
