Disney Transportation Help ~ I'm So Confused....

I haven't read the whole thread, so don't know if this is relevant to your plans or not - but the Epcot dock is not INSIDE Epcot, but outside the gates. So you don't need a park hopper to use the boat from Epcot.

If your goal is to get to the DHS you can easily walk there from the Epcot resort area. However, I would not advise it if you have little children with you.

The walk from the Boardwalk or the Swan/Dolphin to the DHS is about 10 minutes or so.

From the Epcot exit the walk is something like 15-20 minutes.

The boat, from Epcot to DHS, takes 25 mins, not including any wait times. So....my friend and I left the boat dock area, at International Gateway, as the boat was leaving. We were going to take the boat but they were just about ready to depart so we weren't allowed on....told that another boat would be coming. We yelled back that we would walk and beat them to DHS. They all had a big laugh about that. So....my friend and I walked at a very normal pace to BW. The boat had just arrived, beat us by about 30 seconds (took about 8 mins). Then we headed off to the walkway to DHS as the boat was getting ready to head to YC/BC. That's the last we saw of that boat until we got to DHS. We were headed to bag check when we saw the boat come around the curve...we beat them by about 5 mins or so.
With that in mind, it takes about 20 mins to walk from Epcot to DHS, and about 15 to get there from BW...depending on where you are at BW. I am usually close to a door that leads me down to the walkway...so it cuts off a min or two.

Thanks for your response. Overall, I'm trying to figure out the best way/options to get back to SSR from the boardwalk area via. Disney Transportation. DH/I are having dinner at the Cape May Café, will be walking around afterwards, watching the fireworks at EPCOT and will leave afterwards. I appreciate you informing me about the boat being outside of EPCOT.
:thanks: very much for your help!

That's a good option if the boat line is too long or if we are already halfway to DHS.

We don't have children so it will be just the two of us.

:thanks: very much for your help!

 I bet the people on that boat couldn't believe that you and your friend arrived before they did.

So if we are up for walking and burning off much needed calories after dinner:laughing:, we can walk directly to DHS and take the bus to SSR. If we prefer/can take the boat for an evening cruise  to DHS we have that option as well.

I'm very happy that there are several choices depending on where we'll be, transportation options, time, etc. This is great!

:thanks: very much for your help!
