This might be a silly question, but I'm a little confused. (This is my first DCL cruise.) My family is flying into MCO on July 18th for a cruise on the Dream on the 19th. We are using Disney transfer to the ship from the Hyatt at the airport. I just completed my online check in, and the first available time for cruise arrival is 12. (Didn't realize we picked a time, hadn't done that on NCL or Celebrity)

So, my question is how the transfer will work. Do we pick certain time? And, what happens if the shuttle gets us to port too early or after our scheduled arrival? We're traveling with myself, DH, 3 year old and 18 month old daughters, plus grandma & grandpap. So, I'd hate for us to be sitting for hours somewhere because I didn't understand the process.

Thanks in advance!

You don't need an appt time for the shuttle. Just show up at the shuttle location whenever works for you. If you get there early, I don't know if they let you in the terminal or not. We always try and arrive as close to our selected time as possible.

Just show up at the DCL transportation desk when you wish (opens at 9:00). Travel time to the port is about an hour. If you arrive at the port via DCL transfers, regardless of your actual PAT, you will be allowed to enter the terminal. However, it's likely that you will have a higher boarding number (this is tied to your PAT). Generally, boarding numbers are tied to whatever PAT a party has selected. And it remains the same whether they check in early or late.

That being said, there have been reports of CMs manually changing said boarding number if it's going to be a fairly long wait for the guests. But I wouldn't necessarily count on it.

They will let you in the port, and they do have movies playing in the port, but there isn't really much else to do with little ones that age. Mickey and Minnie are there for pictures, but that is about it. Since you say you aren't familiar with the process, are you aware that the Hyatt will handle your bags? You fill out a form and put tags on your bags, and the Hyatt will ensure your bags get to the Port. You will have to take your day bags, but with little ones, having the bags handled by someone else is so nice!

Go back in and make sure all of your arrival time is correct. I've read of later times being given when people have put bad info into that section. Changing it and making sure they know you'll already be there CAN change the PAT.

Thanks so much for all the info! The bag transfer was one of the reasons to stay there...plus the convenience when we get there. i'll double check the times the got added too.

Fully agree bad information input can cause delays ensure you input everything correctly . For example on back to backs I got back on at 10.15 am I think others who didn't complete the transport options correctly were delayed.
