What is something you always do when you are at Disney? Rides you must do, characters you must take a picture with, a souvenir you always buy... well you get the idea.

Disney Birthday trip: August 12-19 :cloud9:

Going to eat at Earl of Sandwich for lunch and Ohanas for dinner on arrival day. :cool1:

our tradition is on the day of arrival we got to Chef Mickey's for dinner. It really gets us into the mood.

The day after the night we arrive (since we drive), we usually spend lounging around. That night we take the EPCOT monorail for a loop (we don't get off) then we go to 'Ohana for dinner!!

We always do MK on the 1st day, and start it off with breakfast at Chef Mickeys. ::MickeyMo

We have several...
~In Epcot the walking path next to HISTA going to Canada, we always stop to "smell the roses" ;)
~At MGM, we always ride the Great Movie Ride first and we have to eat at the Sci-Fi :thumbsup2
~Ever since I was a kid, my family always had us pose next to the statue of the wooden Indian at Magic Kingdom. We now do the same with our kids so we have pictures from two generations doing the same poses. We look ridiculous.. :rotfl2:

Even with a 12 and 8 yr old, we still ride Dumbo first at MK. I'm enjoying it for as long as it lasts - I know one day soon they won't choose this.

We always take two pictures:

One under the talking parrot on Pirates of the Carribbean, and one with Pluto licking my dd's face.

We always always do TL on the first day, followed by AK in the second day and we always get rained out by 1pm in TL. I know summer is rainy season but it always seems to rain earlier in the day when we are at TL. I asked DH if he wanted to break with tradition and do something different on the first day this year, but no he said TL was it!

We are soooooo predictable! We do the same thing every trip. After check in we unpack, have a cold beer, change and head out to the MK. First ride is HM or POTC then walk around a little and take it all in. Dinner is usually at the resort the first night at Citrico's. I love salt and pepper shakers and usually buy a set every trip.

We even take the same flight down to MCO (so sad) so we know we will be in the MK by 1:00 or so. When we arrive at the GF RPC, the CM's remember us, which is also sad. Out trips to WDW have become like the movie Groundhogs Day.

So this trip upcoming in Sept, we are changing. We are staying at the CR instead of the GF and we are going to new restaurants this trip as well...namely Blue Zoo and Shula's. Maybe we will try not going to MK first thing.....on second thought I can't do it!

I know we are pathetic. We are trying to break our habits...Change is good!

In 1995 when my DD was almost 3 years old, she and my DH posed as Walt & Mickey infront of the statues at Disneyland...so the first thing we did last year was to take that shot again...my what a difference 10 years made to my DD!!!
My DH still looked exactly the same! They plan to take this shot every 10 years now...I put them in a frame side by side and they are images I cherish!!!

eat at Columbia Harbour House for lunch each time we go to MK

We have several.

- Picture in front of the castle at MK
- Dole float from Aloha Isle at MK (new tradition)
- Ride Soarin' at Epcot twice right after rope drop
- A visit to Beaches and Cream, where DS7 always tries to talk us into getting THE KITCHEN SINK

What is this "Dole Whip" you all speak of?? I've been to Disney a bunch of times and NEVER heard of it.....

Does it have anything to do with bananas?? ;)

The only thing we really do on EVERY trip "other than hitting the rides" is take a photo in front of the Buzz Lightyear Spaceship at MGM. Its our disney growth chart!!

Always make the trip to FW- that's where we always stayed when I was a child.
I also have the same photo from the mural at the ride start of Snow White from WDW, DL and DLP...didn't realize I took the same picture for months!
Swimming first thing in the morning and last thing at night is also a kind of tradition.
