Have any of you had trouble taking your Disney Trading Pins through TSA checkpoints at the airport? I checked the TSA website and found that "jewelry stick pins" are allowable, but just wanted to check with all of you to see what your experiences have been. My DS would be crushed (and I would be too!), if his pins were taken from him at the airport.

Thanks!

I have never had a problem with a pin. I am sure MCO sees them all the time. I went through with a pin attached to my backpack with no issues.

They're allowed. But during certain hours you can tweet or instagram TSA a photo of what you want to bring and they will respond.

Never had a problem with them. Most TSA agents don't even blink twice at them.

Oddly enough I had to have dry pancake mix checked extra after the holidays. Our nephew made each aunt and uncle pancake mix and put it in mason jars. I had no clue dry ingredients sometimes get checked too.

Totally fine.

Liza, dry powdery substance could be bad in its own or it could be used to hide something. Coffee can be suspect too.

I have taken Disney pins in my checked bags and carry on bags numerous times with no problems at all. I have transported them in plastic baggies; Tupperware; on lanyards, and in a portfolio.

I have taken as few as ten and as many as 100.

The only time that they have even gotten a second look was my daughter's portfolio as a carry on and then it was only a 20 second delay as they opened the case, observed and sent us on our way.

Now, a jar of peanut butter will get my checked bag hand searched every time.

me and my daughter just flew home from MCO and they were attached to our coats and no one said anything to us.

I have taken as many as 400 to 500 in my carry-on and while they may open my bag to verify that they are trading pins, I have never had any problems. I would not ever put pins in my checked baggage. Have heard of them being taken from checked baggage as they can easily be sold off for cash. Jmho
