What tours have you taken and would you recommend them?

My husband is going for a trade show and I'm going to be tagging along. I thought that being at the parks alone would be the perfect time to take a tour.

There is the 7 hour one. Has anyone done that?

DH and I did the Segway tour at Epcot last month and loved it. We would do it again!!

I have never done it, but really want to....

Keys to the Kingdom. It's about 5 hours long, includes lunch and from what I have heard/seen the reviews are pretty good.

Have fun

DH and I did Keys to the Kingdom last year and LOVED it! :thumbsup2 We got to go down in the utilidors, and learned all kinds of cool things including having some hidden mickeys pointed out to us and what the windows in main street mean. I'd do it again in a heartebeat!:lovestruc

My son and I took the Backstage Animal Kingdom tour last year. We took the 1:00 pm option and it turned out we were the only 2 on the tour. The guide was wonderful and were able to do more than the regular tour. Saw hidden Mickey's, giraffes closer than usual, Kilimanjaro Safari-just us and the guide. Awesome! I would do another backstage tour, it's great.

My DH and I have done many of the tours at WDW including the 7 hour tour. They were all great. We have done the Segway in Epcot 4 times and once at Ft. Wilderness. We have done all the tours at the Magic Kingdom as well as the Yuletide Fantasies. We have swam in the aquarium in the Living Seas. If you want any other info just PM me with your questions and I will do my best to answer them.

My DF and I took the EPCOT Seas Aqua Tour in December. It was unbelievable! It's about 2 hours of backstage touring at the Living Seas, which is cool enough, but then you are able to swim IN the Living Seas for about 30 minutes. It's scuba-assisted snorkling, which means you can just float without having to surface for breath. It was amazing to actually be part of the exhibit ( I keep wondering how many other people's pictures and videos I'm in!) as well as being that up close and personal to the animals. My DF kept getting smacked by the sea turtles! They had a very understandable fascination with him! :lovestruc

I also took a tour years ago for kids only that I believe has turned into the Keys to the Kingdom tour. We were able to see a number of behind the scenes areas, including the costuming area and underneath Space Mountain!

We've done Keys to the Kingdom tour and really loved it. You wear special headsets and the CM tour guide talks to through them explaining things as you walk along or on a ride. We got to ride on the JC and HM with our guide giving special info on each as we went through it. There's a lot of walking, about 5 hours worth with two breaks. We had lunch at Columbia Harbor House, you pre-order it before leaving on the tour. It is really a great tour for lots of unknown Disney info.

I join in the praise of the Aqua Seas tour. When you swim in the tank with hundreds of people on the other side of the glass you feel like a CM. It was great to learn about all the care that goes into taking care of the animals. I also loved the AKL Breakfast Safari but I think you have to be staying Concierge for that.

We did the Behind the Seeds tour at the Land in EPCOT. It's only about an hour- but it was great!! We even got to feed the alligators!!:cool1:

We've done Keys to the Kingdom and the Around the World Segway Tour. We loved both of them!!

KTTK was really well done. It was only DH's 2nd Disney trip, and I've always been in love with all things Disiney, but both of us got a ton of out of it.

We took the Segway tour with my parents (58 and 59) and we all loved it! Dad and DH were in their glory. Definitely worth the money you pay to take it.

I'm assuming you're talking about "Backstage Magic" which does EPCOT, MK and DHS (with Mama Melrose's included).

My Brother and I did this tour and loved it! We're older so it didn't "ruin the magic". I think you must be 16 and older anyway to do it. It would be a perfect "solo" tour as you hang with the same people all day and quickly make friends.

I also did DiveQUEST in the Living Seas. It takes a few hours as they take you backstage at the Living Seas, take you through orientation then it culminates with a 60 minute dive in the largest saltwater aquarium in the world. Our Divemaster told us the EPCOT ball can fit inside the tank!

We swam by the Coral Reef Restaurant waiving, got to go into dive bell, and take pictures/video from inside the tank with my son behind me. Here's a picture my brother took from his side of the glass. It is great time!

Our DiveMaster reminded us that "It is rare for a guest to get to be 'On Stage', so please make sure that you use proper decorum in the tanks and represent Disney properly". It felt great!

I'm hoping to do the Segway Tour around the World at EPCOT next. Note if you have a Disney Visa, you get 20% off Backstage Magic and other tours. Segway around the world is 15%.
