My DD5 will more than likely lose her first tooth while we are at Disney World next week. Does anyone have any great ideas to make this extra special for her? I thought I remember reading somewhere about a recipe for pixie dust? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, we're leaving Saturday!!:cool1:

Maybe the toothfairy will leave her Disney Dollars instead of traditional money? Maybe a little disney charm bracelet or necklace? Leave her a message on the bathroom mirror (using window markers)?

As for pixie dust...no special recipe. Standard glitter works just fine :)

My DD lost a tooth when we went to Pittsburgh to pick up our puppy. DD was so afraid Tooth Fairy wouldn't find her in Pittsburgh! I snuck down to the desk late that night and asked them to write a note to DD as the "Tooth Fairy" (afraid she would recognize my handwriting) and gave them a $20 bill to leave with the note in an envelope. She was to spend some on herself, and some on her new puppy. The next day when we were leaving to pick up the puppy the desk person told her there was an envelope left for her the prior evening. She was shocked when she opened the envelope and saw it was from the Tooth Fairy! :rotfl: I'm sure someone at Disney would do something like this for you! Maybe even add a little pixie dust to the envelope.

DD had informed me Tink was the WDW toothfairy. She lost her tooth the day before our trip, but asked me to help her write a note to the "Maine" TF not to take her tooth as she was saving it for Tink.:rotfl2:

That said- Tink brought her a Tink toothbrush (of course!), a Disney $1, a Minnie Beanie (this was, er, something Tink happened to have because it was sitting for over a year at lost and found at work... yeah.) and it was all sprinkled with pink pixie dust. (Looks something like pink glitter from the Walmart craft dept... ;) )

My son lost his 1st tooth @ WDW 2 yrs ago. Just prior to the trip, my children informed me that TINKERBELL handles the "tooth fairy" duty at Disney! :thumbsup2 Since it was my son, she just left money, but she left $3 instead of $1 b/c of "Disney Prices" :rotfl:

It just so happened that we were sitting in the auditorium waiting for Beauty & the Beast at the time he lost the tooth. The lady sitting behind us heard us talking about it being his 1st tooth & the whole Tink thing ..... well, she thought that was the most adorable thing she'd ever heard ...... AND it turns out, she was "Belle's" mother!!! She gave us "Belle's" card with her email address and told us to write to her about the story & send a photo.... so, when I got home, I did! "Belle" wrote back indicating her mother shared the story and she also thought it was really cute. She asked if we were coming back to WDW any time soon (we were) and she arranged Priority Seating and a backstage Meet & Greet with "Beauty and the Beast" after the show on our next visit! :wizard: DS thought it was sooo cool that we got special treatment b/c Belle found out he lost his first tooth at her show!

Moral of the story? :confused3 Be sure to let a CM know if it's your child's first tooth @ WDW and maybe you'll get a little "PIXIE DUST" of your own! ;)

Since my dd is in the middle of the tooth losing stage, she was concerned about what would happen if she lost her tooth while on our Disney trip this summer. I told her that instead of the Tooth Fairy leaving her a gift, Tink would come and leave her a gift. I guess I'd better come up with something in case it happens. She's got one on the top that's getting a bit wiggly. pixiedust:

The toothfairy always leaves my kids a silver dollar. That way they'll have a neat collection later on. Once while at WDW my daughter lost her tooth and the tooth fairy left her a disney silver coin (in addition to the traditonal silver dollar...we always pack a spare) that I purchased at the Art of Disney.
