Just read on the Dizpins board that Disney plans to raise the prices of Disney Pins by another 50 cents at its Theme Parks in Jan 2006.

Guess I'll be cutting back on the pin purchases next trip. This is getting ridiculous.

Seems odd they would raise them again so soon. It was less than a year ago they were already hiked quite a bit.
I know since the last hike I have bought fewer pins and traders. I really consider now what I want. And have even been known to return some, which I rarely use to.
I buy fewer pins and traders than before. And another hike will just make my buying numbers go down again.
Pins do not sell out like they use to. Just as one example, on Thanksgiving Day CSR still had PLENTY of the LE1000 Minnie VIP released in July!
But maybe pins have died out enough Disney wants to put the final nail in the coffin. :confused3 Most traders/collectors have enough of a collection and extras to sustain themselves in trading without buying more.

This is just wrong and makes me sad. I'm really gonna have to cut back now :(

I agree that really stinks.

Hey, first time I saw another disers called Stitchfan. A few posts before mine.

Hi Stitchfan!! :wave2:

Oy. My travel money can't take that kinda heat. Considering I'm very conservative about using my parent's money on trip, it's not likely that I'll be getting more pins in the future. Sure, they're nice and all, but I'm not going to blow $7.00US (Last time I checked) for a regular pin. I usually come back home with about 10+ pins total (combined with parents), but with this raise? I think I'll be trying to go above 3.

On the otherhand, their t-shirts and sweatshirts are getting better every month! :D

PS: Is this a change on ALL pins? Or is this a 50 cent increase on only the normal, non-animated, non-moving, non-nothing pins?

I think that's terrible. The pins are already expensive enough without increasing the prices. Since I just began collecting and have been getting my pins from eBay, I think that's mostly what I'll stick too. Just buy my pins from eBay and trade them in the park. Although it's not the same as buying in the park, I don't think my wallet can really take it :sad1:.
