Disney to cancel FPs if room is cancelled

@Amcd33 your post went inside your quote so I can’t quote it to respond but we are doing exactly what you suggested - pre-cruise, WDW, then our cruise, then one night onsite at Uni to get 2 days EP after the cruise. The difference is that Disney has chased us away from the cruise line with the egregiously high prices. I have an unlimited drink package and unlimited specialty dining in a balcony stateroom on Royal for less than half the price of just a Disney veranda for a shorter cruise I love Disney vacations very much but at some point even as a DINK couple enough is enough.

That wasn't really an answer to what I asked. All that is being discussed is how to work around the rules set in place by Disney (for example creating dummy reservations to get around Split Stay's having two window, etc). Plus not to mention the other strategies regarding canceling, which is warned when you cancel the FP is going to cancelled just doesn't happen. So DIS says it is Disney's policy or flaw being found to exploit?

Just people got upset Split Stays were victims of a crackdown (rightfully so) that was poorly executed. So a new set of exploits (and some old that ended up not being closed) were found that will need to be closed later, who knows what the victims will be then.

I thought we could discuss loopholes if they don't violate of Disney's terms of agreement. For example, if they added something like "hotel reservation required when using a FP booked at 60 days" to the fine print then we could not discuss these exploits even if the system allows.

Yes, but this thread is primarily about how disney interprets these terms of service. For instance, it’s helpful for people to know if you have a 48 window to re-book a room and how that is actually operationalized. Please let the moderators determine what is appropriate - they seem very on top of the content here.

I have another question about how Disney is applying/interpreting the rules. The example was still outside the 60 day window and only listed 3 alternatives:

"We see a change has occurred that impacts your eligibility for the following FastPass+ experiences on 05/08/2019:

Avatar Flight of Passage If action is not taken to restore your eligibility, these FastPass+selections are subject to cancellation on 03/02/2019.

To keep your FastPass+ selections, by 03/02/2019, you may need to:

• Purchase another ticket and link it to your My Disney Experience account.
• Link a ticket you already have to your My Disney Experience account.
• Link an eligible Resort Reservation to your My Disney Experience account."

If the cancellation occurred after the "new" 60 day window existed, would a fourth option be for the guest to cancel them on their own anytime before Disney does, and then book new FP's? Would those "new FP's" be safe from Disney's cancellation, even if they were for the same experience, day, and time?
