Disney to cancel FPs if room is cancelled

I seriously need some Pepto Bismol after reading all this. Is it just me?

I know the feeling. Figuring out all these FP rules, what is or isn’t allowed is no fun... what do FP strategists prefer, Liquid or chewable?

I was wondering also - because I've always known it as same day fast pass and that isn't a bad thing. At least I thought that's what I knew it as I guess!

I thought whatever it was has been closed and shut down? So simply asking what it stands for shouldn't be a problem, should it?

What is SDFP that has been mentioned and why is it taboo?

See the thread that scrap posted. It was a long-standing FP strategy to get extra FP. In 2017 Disney changed their enforcement and it became taboo to discuss here. But it also no longer works, so I assume we can discuss the history of it.

I think it’s brought up a lot in this thread because it highlights that with a complex and borderline non-functional system (mde) and Disney not wanting to state what is or isn’t allowed, these strategies can blur the lines of acceptable or not to discuss here.

Oh, thank you! So it does mean Same Day Fast Pass, but not quite the same as the basic meaning I knew. I guess I had heard of that happening peripherally, and vaguely knew there might be a way to get extra FPs, but never really explored it. I'm lucky I get it together enough to do all of the planning the regular way!

Today was my 60 day mark for my May 1st trip for 5 days....maybe just a coincidence but everything was available when I checked at about noon...
The big 3, FOP, SDD and SDMT are still available for all days now except SDD just for the 1st and 2nd day..
I'm not sure I've seen this much availability before at 60 days...

May is a glorious time to visit. Low crowds and great weather. I think this is more time of year versus any changes to the system, at this point.

Just did a quick check for a room starting May1st and there are no values or moderates available....so the resorts are pretty full and they can all start making their fp's today.

This. Since no one has actually lost FPs (that we know of) and the fact that there's another glitch in play that would negatively affect availability it's probably a lot more likely because the window has moved from spring break to May. Despite what people believe there are lower crowd times.
