Disney Theme Welcom Bags

Thanks for this peeps, its must appreciated. I think my mind has just gone blank for the whole thing lol

I found some cheap disney stuff at Michaels.

Princess Diary
Princess paper
Princess little notebook

All for $1.00 each

Also, they have glow sticks there for sale for only $1.00!

These are all located in the $1.00 section of the store.

:)

Here is a bunch of stuff I found. I'm not using them for my welcome bags as of now. This is all the stuff I have put together for my flower girls and my brother so far. I will be going back when I get a little closer to get some of this stuff for my welcome bags.

Cars plate, magnets and window stickers (we are also getting him a ticket to MNSSHP)

Colouring books, stickers, markers, crayons, picture frame, magnet play set, and a hanger.

t-shirt, flip flops, stuffed doll, cup, bowl, plate, water bottle, fake nail set, hair clips, light up pin, various lip glosses, mini brush set and hair elastics.

Most of this stuff is from a local dollar store, some from Michaels, walmart and the Disney Outlet.

WOW! All of these ideas are awesome! I'm trying to come up with ideas for the welcome bags now that way when I see sales throughout the year, I know what I can snatch up!

You all have done a great job! Thanks! :)

I just thought I would post some good deals I found.

Staples has a good deal going on... Purell .5 oz bottles for .01 ~ Limit 2
Folders for .01 ~ Limit 10

Prices may vary by region, but I picked up some of these for my welcome bags :)

Disneyshopping.com has a summer sale of 40% off... I just picked up some beach towels for my welcome bags for $2.99

Hey girls! I wanted to pass on a helpful site. While browsing through Dollar Tree the other day, I noticed a sign by the register that said, "Buying in bulk? Go to www.dollartreedirect.com." I just checked it out and it's great! They have a lot of the Disney stuff on the site like the crayons, puzzles, paddle balls and figurines but in cases of usually 48! Fabulous!

Thought I'd share!!

I actually capitalized on both of these sales. I haven't gotten a final count on my guest yet, but I'm never one to pass up a sale, and we are estimating at least 100 ppl (down from our invites of 192), so I enlisted my bridal party (only if it was on their way, because the cost of gas outweighs the sale) and family in NYC, and I walked all around NYC and hit up at least 5 staples a day. I came away with 120+ bottles of purell, so everyone should get 2! :cool1:

I also got folders, so I'll use those to put itineraries, maps, and other info inside. I bought pencils the last day of the sale and put them in the donation bins.

I LOVED the disney summer sale, and I went overboard and bought 95 towels, but mostly all for 2.99 too! (I didn't want families with more than one child to have to share a towel, and some of our guests have 2+ kids)

The Disney outlet had their washclothes on sale for .49, so I bought plenty of those as well, and finished up with the regular Disney store for more clothes because they were the only location that actually had mickey and minnie. The outlet had pixar, pricesses, and pooh. Got about 75 of those. :cool1:

My welcome bag is practically complete, because all I need to do now is figure out how to make a bag, or I'm ordering it through a business promo catalog. Then just add personalized bottled water, a snack, and we wanted to add disney pens and some cheapie autograph books to the bags with families with children. (I had seen some affordable ones at the walmart by disney)

If we see something else that is just too good to miss, then we'd add it too, but we are trying to keep it under $10 per bag. I think we might just squeeze right under it.

I've been reading and loving all of your ideas. I am in the process of planning a Disney themed Bat Mitzvah. I have 50 guests coming from out of town and am putting together disney welcome baskets as well. Yesterday I stopped by Michaels and found lots of cute disney items...playing cards, notebooks etc. What I am trying to find now is the H2O toiletries that they have in the deluxe bathrooms. I took 7-8 of the shampoo, conditioner, lotion and body wash last year, but unfortunately I need 15 in total. I've gone to the H2O store and called guest relations in Disney trying to find the individual size but no luck so far. Any suggestions of who to call to get these for my welcome baskets?

Can someone tell me how I would go about getting the free disney 1st time visit button? I need at least 20 or 25 for my bags, do I just go to the front desk and ask for them?? Anyone have any experience with this?

Also, what other kind of buttons do they have?

Thanks

FYI - We just returned from Target and they had Princess sandwich bags (with zip tops) in their dollar section..Thought they would be great in the welcome bags..We are not having a princess theme or we would have gotten them..

Subbing. This is a great thread. We've thought about doing a VR at Disney in a few years but we've also thought about having a grand gathering and would enjoy giving my family welcome bags. That's just me though.

Just an update on looking for those H2O toiletry samples....I spoke to the housekeeping manager at the CR and he is sending me all my shampoos and conditioners. I'm so happy! :cheer2: Now on to other things.
