I actually capitalized on both of these sales. I haven't gotten a final count on my guest yet, but I'm never one to pass up a sale, and we are estimating at least 100 ppl (down from our invites of 192), so I enlisted my bridal party (only if it was on their way, because the cost of gas outweighs the sale) and family in NYC, and I walked all around NYC and hit up at least 5 staples a day. I came away with 120+ bottles of purell, so everyone should get 2!
I also got folders, so I'll use those to put itineraries, maps, and other info inside. I bought pencils the last day of the sale and put them in the donation bins.
I LOVED the disney summer sale, and I went overboard and bought 95 towels, but mostly all for 2.99 too! (I didn't want families with more than one child to have to share a towel, and some of our guests have 2+ kids)
The Disney outlet had their washclothes on sale for .49, so I bought plenty of those as well, and finished up with the regular
Disney store for more clothes because they were the only location that actually had mickey and minnie. The outlet had pixar, pricesses, and pooh. Got about 75 of those.
My welcome bag is practically complete, because all I need to do now is figure out how to make a bag, or I'm ordering it through a business promo catalog. Then just add personalized bottled water, a snack, and we wanted to add disney pens and some cheapie autograph books to the bags with families with children. (I had seen some affordable ones at the
walmart by disney)
If we see something else that is just too good to miss, then we'd add it too, but we are trying to keep it under $10 per bag. I think we might just squeeze right under it.
