This just started last week. Disney is testing a 10% discount for passholders for merchandise inside the theme parks through the middle of January. This excludes carts, counter service meals and table service meal restaurants. The bake shop on main street is included even though they are selling food items. But in order to recieve the discount you have to tell them you are a passholder when your making your purchase. I found this out in Frontierland yesterday when the cast member gave me the discount after she learned I was a passholder. Then she told me about Disney testing this through January and I have to tell them I am a passholder to get the discount.

I hope they will keep this discount in effect. It is not much but every little bit helps.

Thanks for the news. We will be there in 2 weeks so we will try to remember to get the discount. 10% is better than nothing.

I wish they would have better communication. Thanks for the heads up. It's about time. Our CA counterparts have been enjoying this for years. When they'd ask me "Are you a Passholder?" I'd respond, "Yeah, but it doesn't work here."

What exactly does this cover? Is it merchandise only? Or does it include food as well? I assume it would only be the former. Even merchandise would be great. We are getting our first ever AP in two+ weeks, and this would be great to get 10% everywhere instead of just at WOD (with Disney Visa).
