Disney Tattoos

Not yet 'technically' an armband because it doesn't go all the way around.

Got lots of compliments on this when I was on our Feb/2010 Magic cruise. Can you tell I like me some Disney pins?

Have a couple others, but they are not Disney-themed. And I want several more.

That's pretty cool. The armband idea is nice!!

Thanks!

A lot of the people that approached me on it on our cruise asked if it was done on-board.....I wish it has been a Disney certified artist, but mine still did an awesome job.

I have two tattooes, but I really want a third one and I NEEED a Disney one! My plan is to get the phrase "wish it. dream it. do it." with Mickey's silhouette on either side because I have a HUGE dream of working for Disney, and then i think I want the castle somewhere too. Ugh, tattooes really are so addicting, but I have to be so careful because I'm in the process of applying for the college program and I don't want to get turn down just because of my tattooes! Anyone know anything about Disney and their view on tattooes, as long as they're covered?

Depends on what you want to do. But as long as you cover them, you're OK. Either use makeup or long sleeves( depending on where) and you should be fine. Oh and you have to cover it for ANYTHING College Program, even orientation and classes. :(

Thanks so much! Yeah I have no problem covering them, one is on my foot and the other is on my back, so they're easily covered simply with socks and shoes and my shirt. Do you know anything else about the college program? I'm so anxious and excited and nervous!!::MinnieMo

I got my first tattoo while in Orlando 01/09.

Here is a pic of it...It's in memory of my father who passed away when I was 16..He was a Marine (hence the red, white, blue daisies) and the daisies are his birth month flower :)

No Problem! There are a lot of people there. You get assigned room mates at random- or at least I did. If you find your roommates horrid, but you've made friends who live somewhere else, you can transfer rooms for I think it was 60 bucks. Not sure...
The apartments are nice enough, nothing great. They are furnished. The busses work to get around but if you want to shop for groceries, it's easier with your own car( they do have bus runs to shop though).
Working. They will work you 9 plus hours a day. You do get an hour lunch but trust me, if you aren't used to working a lot and being on your feet, you will be tired. They don't pay much at all. Minimum I believe. You get to choose how long you want your program to be. I think the choices are 4 or 6 months(?). I suggest the 4 because if you decide you like it you can add on time in the middle of it.
The training was OK, could have used a little more in some cases. Because you are CP you tend to get the jobs/ tasks no one wants. So be ready. :)
Now, I did the CP in 2007. Some of this might have changed. And I did Culinary as did all my friends there- unless you are friends with your roomies you tend to stick to your section when it comes to friends. I didn't like it but I am glad I did it. The best part was on every day off I was able to go to the parks and just wander around. :)
Hope that helped( and I wasn't too much of a downer, just trying to give you MY experiences). Let me know if you have any more questions. Oh, and what are you hoping to go for, if I may ask?

They actually have a WHOLE bunch of people at the College Boards that can answer every and any question you can think of.

I did Fall 07 and Fall 09. QSFB and Merchandise, respectively.

Things have changed a bit since 07: They have a new housing complex (Patterson) which is wicked nice. Also, whatever role you get will dictate your pay.

For the sake of trying to stay on topic for this forum, if you want to talk 1 on 1 with me you can PM me, or you can check out the College Boards :goodvibes

For the tattoo related question: I personally have one on my upper left arm. Big thing is to TELL THEM ON YOUR INTERVIEW!!! I know that sounds nerve-wracking, but they are use to CMs with them. It'll just help make sure you get a role that can cover them; (ie., you don't want to do lifeguarding because it'll show, but most other roles will be ok). They have no problem whatsoever as long as they are covered while you are working.

Message me if you have anymore questions! Good luck! :hippie:

thanks hebbynan

dvczers- so true about the being brothers forever! Your story about your dad brought tears to my eyes ((Hugs))

Now that I know how to post pictures I can post the picture and not the link.

Here is my Tinkerbell. I had her tattooed in Germany. She on the top of my spine in the middle of my back. We had to take the picture at a weird angle because the flash kept bouncing off of my skin. The dress is not as spotty as the picture looks.

This is one of the better Tink tattoos I've seen. Not extremely true to the original, but it's flirty and pinup-esque.

I :lovestruc your USA red/white/blue Mickey! It's exactly what I want. It's my favorite pin and my avatar.

Thanks!

It's the only one that I wanted to have color. And we are big pin collectors.

I think I like the original logo (all the way on the right) the best.

Not at all, I love all this help! I'm actually auditioning to be a character performer. My entire life is performing...theatre, comedy, clowning, anything you can think of. I've been working at Six Flags for the past two years as a character performer and I also hosted shows and did puppeteering work in parade. I'm a huge goofball so theme park performer works for me! Do you know anything about the auditions? I'm supposed to go in March. If I don't get chosen as a performer I'd like to be an attractions host, The Great Movie Ride is my first choice because it's an attraction that is close to performing. Do you know if they offer you attractions, if you get to give a preference as to where you want to be? Thanks again so much for all this help!!

Thanks sooooo much! I'm slightly new to these online forums, so what are the College Boards, and what is PM? LOL forgive my ignorance! :rotfl:

Saw one very similar to this one on this thread and on the picture that DIS friend sent to me, and took it in and got it done last night...

This was my first ink!
