I haven't seen this thread in years! There are some GREAT new additions! WOW!! I wanted to add a professional pic of my Snow White tattoo from my wedding! You can really see the detail and beauty of the piece. Thank you so much to the people that liked my tattoo from the older pic post! :goodvibes:goodvibes

wow, did you have a break, or two?

I have only gotten one tattoo (chip & dale, way back in this thread somewhere) but in my opinion he was not heavy handed. In fact he took it slow at first, which I appreciated!

It took between an hour and a half to 2 hours, don't remember exactly. Then he switched over to do my husband's tat. They took a break in the middle and we went and got something to eat, and the artist ate a snack as well. But my husband's tat was bigger than mine and took over 3 hours, and the artist never took much of a break after doing mine. (just to sterilize, get clean needles and such, of course)

i've been thinking about something like this

or

cinderella_castle.jpg

and i'm considering putting an ornait frame around it like this

is adding the frame going to make it too heavy? should it just be faded out at the edge?

i don't want it to look like a picture just stuck there with hard straight edges

thanks

This one is my favorite, I would like to use the same idea but w/ the American flag. I actually bought the pin last time we were at WDW. Now I just have to build up the courage.

Even though Im scottish I got an american one on my shoulder a while back

I love the first picture of the castle.
And..... just IMHO.... the frame would take away from it.
I think it would be gorgeous just to have the edges fading out....

But I LOVE the idea of the castle!!!!!!!!:goodvibes

Agreed, I'd nix the frame. Gorgeous colors!

that's awesome! My hubby would love that, will have to show him

Here is my tat I am getting in the next month. I just had a hysterectomy so I wanna go for my follow up before I go for the tatoo. It's in honor of my cousin who lost her 14 yr fight with breast cancer 2 yrs ago. I wanna have some words or something around it but I can't figure out what. I have one on my foot already so I think I might do this on the other foot. Any suggestions? Something Disney like but that ties into breast cancer as well. I am so excited to get it done!

Hey! Just seeing this now :) I had one break. We started around noon, and took a quick break about 2 1/2 hours in. Sometimes I think it's the breaks that do you in, because when they go back its had time to swell and get more tender, and it hurts soooo much more. Anyhoo, when we started back up again, I remember looking at the clock at 3:00 pm thinking, "there is NO way I'm going to be able to sit through 2 more full hours of this". And then I don't know what happened! I went into some endorphin fueled state, and literally the next thing I knew it was 5 pm and she was wiping down and telling me I was a champ!! I went home and PASSED OUT COLD for like 3 hours! Talk about exhausted!

I love your idea!!!!!!!!! Fantastic!!! That's actually what I am planning to do on my left arm, to counterbalance the Snow White on my right arm! I am of the camp that LOVES the silver frame idea around the castle. It reminds me of the cameo that was on the castle during YOAM, and I just think it ties the piece together. Although I do think a great tattoo artist can really imitate the style of painting and blend it outwards as well. I still like the ornate silver frame though:thumbsup2 Good luck with your tattoo!!! How exciting!!!! :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

ETA: I just wanted to say that when I wrote that's what I'm planning to do, I meant a castle piece. Not that I'm doing that exact Kincaid piece. I don't want you to think I'm rippin your idea! :)
