Disney Tattoos

Definitely shop around.. The tink I got on my back was pretty detailed, so I kept going to places where they said they would have to make it bigger than I wanted to get all the detail.. Finally, a shop on I-Drive in Orlando said he could do it at around 6 inches. I was happy with that, and 3.5 yrs later, I still love it :)

I had that same issue (with my chip and dale)....another shop said they needed to enlarge it by at least 25% and I didn't like that idea at all.

It definitely pays to shop around. Especially cuz it's YOUR body and NOT theirs.

When you guys say to look around first, should I get drawings from each shop? In other words, should I take my ideas to more than one place and have each shop draw up a sketch? Did you go and look around the shop you used?

Thanks :thumbsup2

some lady came in to the shop when i was getting my tattoo who was doing this and the guy who did my tattoo basically told me that it's rude to go and get drawings from multiple shops at the same time. he said, you can see what one place does and if they don't work for you, go somewhere else, but don't see multiple places at once. he said that they will actually get ticked off at you if they find out that you've been doing that. that was just the place i went to, so i'm not sure how it is everywhere??

most places are pretty good at creating something that will make you happy.

I checked two different shops before I decided which one to use. I didn't have them do any sketches but I did take the picture of what I wanted done and showed it to them.

In the end I went with the one that I felt more comfortable with, and some of my friends had went there and so I was able to get advice from someone who had BTDT

IMO I would go and talk to a few people and see who makes you feel more comfortable.

I think I FINALLY decided on an idea for my Disney related tattoo. I knew I wanted something involving the parks, and I found this from a pin on ebay a few days ago. It's almost EXACTLY what I was envisioning in my head. The only thing I added was the small "hidden mickey" in the bottom left hand corner.

I want to get it done just below my neck at the top of my back.

UPDATE! We were supposed to go a few weekends ago, but car issues made money a bit short at the time. I plan to finally do it this weekend! I'm excited. I was debating about keeping the entire thing black with the exception of the color stripe on the monorail. If I did that, I would go with lime or blue. I'm still debating on that one, though.

I completely agree

Good luck!! That design looks great!!! Looking forward to some pictures...:thumbsup2

thadarkslayer: If you do your entire tattoo in black & get the monorail strip done in blue, it may be hard to see, depending on the shade of blue. Lime may stand out more. Just my 2 cents! Good luck & can't wait to see it!!

If I ever was brave enough to get one, this is what I would want...

But what color? Where?

I had to compromise with my castle.

1 - I didn't have a super huge image of it. The picture I had was a scan from a "Happy Birthday Disney World" button from the 80's.
2 - He said with the size I wanted, all of the details within the castle would eventually bleed together.

I ended up pulling up another castle logo for him on google images, and he just put it where the other castle was.

I love it. I was really going for something that was more symbol-related, and a representation of it, without trying to look like an actual photo. I got exactly what I wanted. =)

Is that on your back? It looks huge (the tattoo, not your back! ;))! Love the little hidden Mickey! Now that my most recent tattoo is FINALLY healing (had an infection in it) I am super happy with it! I love my tattoos! :thumbsup2
