Disney Tattoos

New to this thread, but in the process of planning to get my first tattoo and what better than a Disney Tattoo. My wife and I had planned to get our first tattoos after completing three Run Disney 1/2 marathons in 2013. (Princess 1/2, DL 1/2, and Wine&Dine 1/2). My wife beat me to it by getting an outline of Aurora's crown on her inner right wrist. I'll try to post a pic soon.

For me I plan on putting an my tattoo on my left wrist. It will go all the way around my wrist. It is based on a Design created by Raoul of http://www.designdisneyraoul.nl

Being a runner this made sense for me. I do plan to modify it slightly. I've seen other castle heartbeat tats but I really like this one. The castle will go on my inner wrist with the top of the castle pointed up my arm. Then the heartbeat blips will go on the sides of my wrist. the heartbeat line will go all the way around. I want to change one of the blips to be a hidden mickey head outline.

I'm still trying to locate an artist near me to tackle it but that's the plan. I work in a professional office where visible tats are somewhat frowned upon. But I have a few wide leather type wrist cuffs I can wear when I don't have a long sleeve on.

Thoughts?

I'm so excited! I booked my next tattoo for June 20th to celebrate my birthday on the 16th and getting possession of a house with my fiance on the 2nd! This one isn't Disney but I'm super excited nonetheless. My next ones will be Disney as soon as I can reassure my fiance they thigh pieces won't look tacky or "ruin my great legs"... Or just whenever I feel like it and he'll get used to them like he did my other 6.:thumbsup2

I like the design and I would listen to your artists thoughts on placement and what would look best. They are the experts on this stuff. :thumbsup2

I also work in a 'professional' environment and that is why I opted for leg tattoo's. As I don't wear shorts to work, they are always covered. the other option is the shoulder crown area to just above where your short sleeve line ends.

As long as you have a plan on how to cover them for interviews and while working, you should have no problems. Lucky for me, tattoos are very accepted where I live, but old school mentality still exists... so I have planned accordingly.

Does anyone have a Run Disney Tat they can show? I've looked back through the last 80 pages of this thread and haven't seen one. Maybe I missed it.

I am thinking of one too. I have a hidden mickey on my right ankle that I'm going to get shaded in. Then after I run my first marathon in WDW in January I want to add a vine going up with a 2 and 6 in it. Then going down, another 2. I've tried searching but have found nothing like what I want so let me know what are going to do. I'm stuck drawing off my hidden mickey for it so my options are limited.

I like that idea of the vines with the numbers. January will be my first as well.

The design I have in mind is on the top of my foot or maybe side of my calf. The numbers 48.6 bold. The numbers 4 & 8 black. The dot being a mickey head. The number 6 dopey green, with dopey's large dwarf hat (in purple) sort of hanging off the 6.

I've seen a little silhouette mickey running like the runDisney logo with a 26.2 next to it. The marathon is mickey's race.

If you google or whoever image search marathon tattoos there are some interesting ideas. Modifying one to be Disney themed wouldn't be difficult.

I'm not sure if this will work, but I just had a Little Mermaid sleeve started this past weekend and I wanted to share on this thread!

Next appointment is July 5th, going to try to get most of it done then so it will be healed for my Aug. 15th trip to WDW!

The tentacles were hand drawn in a light grey for guidelines. She wants to see what the rest of the tattoo looks like before she decides which ones to bring forward and which ones to send to the back. And she outlined in a few different colors so the outline wouldn't all be in black.

I finally got my dopey idea into Photoshop. Very crude, but you get the idea.
