Disney Tattoos

:rotfl: I know what you mean. My last two tattoos were from different people than my first ones, maybe there is just a difference there. They both had me use Aquaphor, and I always used non-scented/colored lotion. Maybe I'm allergic to it. It's getting better, though. It usually takes me exactly two weeks to heal, so I've got a little longer, and I should be done with it. Fingers crossed!!

It's actually the third time I got tattooed by the same girl, but the first one that itched. Maybe I did use a different ointment to heal. It took longer than usual to heal, so I must have done something different.

BTW, your key looks awesome, What does it represent exactly? (I guess I don't know all my Disney stuff well enough. Shame on me. :sad2::laughing:)

Shame!! ;) It's a key to the Hollywood Tower Hotel! It's actually a little more than just a Disney fan tat. When I first went to WDW after ToT opened, I wanted to ride it sooooo bad!!! My friends and I (I was a freshman in high school on a choir trip) got to it, and I completely chickened out. Hardcore turned around, walk-of-shamed it and sat on a bench until they were done (and this was when it was really long waits for ToT). On our last day, they all convinced me to go on it. I mean, holding my hands, leading me on the ride. :rotfl: And I loved it, and we spent another hour in line so I could ride it again!! So, in addition to it being my fave attraction, it's also a little reminder to do what scares you...whether it be as small as a thrill ride or something much bigger. :thumbsup2

Oh, love the story behind it!

Hooka smoking caterpillar from Alice in Wonderland...on my lower back...right hand side

Not sure if this will pull from my fb, but figured I'd give it a shot

Never would have thought of that! A bit too late now, but I'll try to remember that for my next one!

Yes its true!! When I got the one on my back a couple yrs ago, my husband had to smack it for me contantly, LOL!

Yup - my tattoo artist told me the same thing.
Mine has just begun to itch, so I'm guessing by tomorrow and the next few days it will begin to drive me nuts :headache:

Welcome to the "DIS" as we call it!

You'll have to get up to 10 posts before you can post a picture. So just find some good threads on the community board and you'll get to 10 posts easily (no rules on where you can post so if you want to just comment on tats here then that's fine too :thumbsup2)

Looking forward to seeing your tattoo

Ok, so, I went a completely different route than I was originally planning for my memorial tattoo for my grandmother. . . . .
I just sat down with some paper and a pencil and this kind of developed. (or rather, this is the tattoo translation, as it is missing detail that would have made it needing to be bigger)

Ok, now I KNOW it's not a Disney tattoo. . . . I'll get to that in a bit. . . .

It's FRESH, like before being covered with syran wrap and being sent out the door fresh. So there is some red tinge. . . .and it's not the BEST picture and doesn't quiet do it justice. . . . seemed my artist didn't really know how to use my phone's camera. lol.

Why it is for my grandma:
the sparrow means two things: 1)egyptians believed that the sparrow is one of the few creatures that could see the dead, so sparrows would be used on tomb decorations as they would help the deceased pass over to the other side. And 2)sparrows mate for life and my grandparents celebrated over 50 years.
The yellow rose represents my grandmother, it was her favorite flower.
The helm is the symbol of a Quarter Master in the Navy, so it's for my grandfather who was one.

Now, why I'm posting it here. . . . 10 points if you can find the hidden mickey. It's thrown in there because I had the pleasure of treating my grandparents to a trip to WDW before my grandmother fell ill.

Oooohhhh! I know! The hidden mickey is in the bird's eye! I'm new here too, but have lurked for a long time! I have a Mickey tattoo behind my left ear. It's just a small, simple little thing, but I love it. One day I'll post a pic, but I've got to get the hang of all this... :)

Nope, not the eye. Although, now that I look at it, the eye does kinda of look like one too!
Maybe a hint, that it's only a partial, hey that counts in the parks. :) there's some hidden mickey ears hiding somewhere, and you are right in that it's hidden in the sparrow. :)
