Disney Taking DOWN Microsites Jan 2011??!

We have our wedding planned for July 16, 2011 and just had our save the dates printed. Shelley from Impressions (a Disney preferred stationary vendor) told us this week that Disney is taking down the microsites in Jan 2011. Now we already have the microsite address printed on our save the dates. Also, the has anyone else had the problem on people not being on Facebook using the facebook webpage? Whenever you go to the facebook website not logged into facebook, it makes you try to sign up for facebook. I don't want my guests going to my wedding website and being forced to sign up for facebook!

Please let me know if you are having these issues!

If they gave you the address already and they also included it in your contract then I'm sure yours will stay up. What she might have meant is that they will no longer issue new ones as of that date because they now have the facebook site.

Also... Don't stress it so much. I found the site DFTWs gave us useless. I created my own site and it was much easier. The DFTWs site can not be changed freely it has to go through you planner and that could take forever.
