Disney swimwear?

I have ordered many, many, many things from disney shopping. I have never had any problems with anything I have ordered. :thumbsup2 I wish I could wear a cute bikini like that, but after 4 kids, that just isn't possible anymore.;)

I have also never had problems returning anything. Although I haven't had to return anything due to it not fitting, just damaged items during shipment & once had the wrong item shipped to me.

Good luck!

Same here, never any problems. Everything is excellent quality too! :thumbsup2

I found the sizes really large (like 2-3 sizes too large!) Which made me feel great when I finally found one that fitted (who knew I could get into that size??!!) but it was a bit of a pain.

I'm sorry, no need to get upset. I was actually posting to the OP. ;)

Thanks for all your responses! I have checked out the size chart and I was going to order what my regular size is...but maybe I will have to bring out the measuring tape to be sure!:rotfl:

I think I'm going to go for it!:hippie:

They do run a bit large, I just ordered a bathing suit that was huge when I got it so I'd consider ordering a size smaller.

the size charts are waaaaaayyyy off. i measured myself carefully then went to the size chart and ordered the appropriate size--boy was i shocked when it came--i think i ordered a 12 and had to send it back and get an 8 (even that was a bit big).

the disney store (in the mall) their new line of ladies swimsuits run long (but i would say very snug) i bought a 12 in that one!

hope this helps :confused3

I also find them to run large, 2 sizes large sounds right. I am normally a 13/14 and the size 9/10 fit perfect.

The good news is that now it appears they will accept returns at the Disney Store where before it was all handled through the mail.

maybe 2 sizes, I didn't bother trying to get the right fit and gave mine (the big one) to my sil who wears a bigger size than I do.

I asked at the disney store last week and they do not accept returns from online purchases. they're owned by 2 different corporate entities (stores owned by the same line that owns the Limited, online is by Disney) which is why a lot of the products are different too.

I got the tankini too and it was a good 2 sizes to big - the skirt almost came to my knees :scared: !

Hi Ibela - I know you! haha! I received an email yesterday indicating that disneyshopping purchases online may now be returned to stores. This is new and I'm so glad to hear it because it was a pain handling everything through the mail. See you on the other side! :goodvibes

"Returns or exchanges can be made in any US Disney Store location, excluding Personalized Items, Art, Collectibles, Mirrors, Electronics, and Indoor and Outdoor Furniture. All returns must have the original packing slip/receipt with the merchandise to be returned or exchanged
Personalized items may not be returned or exchanged unless damaged or defective."

I have that particular tankini. I mistakenly ordered my regular clothes size. I normally buy swimsuits in a size larger than my normal size. Anyway, I found the disney suit runs like any other. I had to exchange the one I ordered (6) for an 8, which fits just like all my other suits. I did have to pay for the return shipping, but oh well. The suit had gone down in price, so unbeknownst to me, disneyshopping had credited me the extra $2...

We also have purchased from Disney and found the clothing to be odd sized- I bought a tankini swimsuit for my daughter and when it came I could wear it as big as it was - and with her being a large 9 year old and me a large 40---well you get the picture. We also purchased a Hawaian print dress that ended up being too small for her. Seems that the numbered sizes run very large where the lettered sizes(m,L,xl) run small. One good point is that you can return --so I will be doing so this week.

 Figures the store lady gave me the wrong info!! That's OK, I looked online and the Eeyore bathing suit is no longer available (didn't bother calling to ask if they had a few spares laying around). I didn't want to deal with the hassle of going to the post office and shipping it back since I got the suit on sale for $13 so I just gave it to my sil instead (she interned at WDW last summer and loves all things Disney), she said it fits her perfectly.

All this talk about bathing suits - aren't we planning on climbing over each other at the dessert buffet? :rotfl:

Cute suit! I don't wear two piece suits anymore since my emergency appendectomy last year... maybe a blessing in disguise. :lmao:
I don't know about Disney Swimsuits, but I find the regular clothes are very true to size. The adult pajamas do seem to shrink after washing, even in cold water. It's great that you apparently you can now return them to the Disney Store!

do you typically see a lot of people wearing disney swimsuits on the cruises? just wondering if there will be a lot of people with my suit...lol

Another DisneyShopping.com patron with sizing issues. Women's sizes DEFINITELY run large. I've experienced 1 - 2 size difference. And in spite of what the size charts say, I've had kids shirts run large as well!

If they are taking return merchandise at the stores from online purchases, then that is a change in policy. I have attempted to make returns on two occasions and was told the same thing, the retail stores are owned by The Children's Place, not by Disney.
