Disney Survey Has Me Thinking

First off this is pure speculation on my part and I have no inside contacts or anything of the sort but one email from Disney got me thinking, and hoping.

I got a survey via email from Disneyland a couple of days ago and it really has me wondering if they are considering bringing back the 60th entertainment. The survey asked me a few standard questions-how any trips I've ever had to the parks, what type of ticket or AP I had on my last trip, when was my last trip, how I feel about change in the parks, what things I consider must do's.

But then there was an interesting rating scale that was included about how excited i would be to see some previous entertainment return. A 4 level rating scale from not at all excited to extremely excited that included paint the night, Disneyland forever, a museum type of display with artifacts about Walt and early Disney history, and a couple of Toy Story live shows. Obviously I marked extremely excited to see paint the night and Disneyland forever return but how likely do y think that is? We all know how expensive those shows are and how deeply they have been cutting entertainment costs (hello 3 minutes worth of plain Jane fireworks). Can we even hope that they really would bring PTN and/or Disneyland forever back?

I can't believe PTN won't make some sort of return this year. Just a completely personal opinion. Just an expensive parade for an 18 month run.

The only reason it won't will be it goes to WDW surely? And I still believe WDW will get Dreamlights from Tokyo and they will get a new parade.

Disney Parks Blog announced that PTN will not be heading to WDW. Fantasy in the Sky fireworks has aleady been replaced by the much longer Remember Dreams Come True. Soundsational is back on the schedule. Auditions have already been held for the Pixar Play Parade. It sounds like the entertainment schedule is starting to fill out nicely for the spring and summer.

I bet that. But I still wonder what the survey was for.

I got the same survey (3 in the last 30 days-all different surveys), there were some curious questions. I could not conclude anything from the questions they were asking but I think what Luckyrabbit posted makes the most sense for the entertainment survey.

I have also gotten several surveys recently which I thought was odd since I haven't been in 4 months. I know they collected my info several times on the last trip (entering the parks in the morning, mid day on Main Street and existing Blue bayou and Carthay) but it seemed like a lot. The last one piqued my curiously with the entertainment questions because I would be very excited to see all of the possibilities return to the parks. Finger crossed, I'm waiting for announcements. If the special entertainment returns we may need to book a quick trip after all (we aren't currently planning a trip any time soon since we were saving up for Disneyworld). If not then I can save some money and wait awhile.

I don't know the purpose of the survey, but I'm sure that Disney is very interested to know how many guests would book a trip specifically to see the special entertainment.
