Disney Supports LGBT Rights - Did You Know That?

The book, The Gospel According to Disney, has interesting information on Disney, LGBT issues and certain denominations.

Those groups you speak of are not hate groups.

Would you support a group that wants to round up everyone who is not like them and ship them off? Or put them inside an electric fence in hopes they will die off? A couple of those groups do.

I think what the OP had in mind was to have those who posted in previous threads vehemently supporting both the CEO of CFA and his views consider that they were doing so on a Disney message board - Disney being a supporter of LGBT. If one chooses to make a consumer decision based on their views on political issues, then shouldn't those decisions be consistent?

I hate to see the obvious question be avoided in all of these threads: why is anyone ramping up their fast food eating habits in a country battling obesity issues? I think the real sin of CFA is what they sell you, not what they stand for in the same sex marriage debate.

I think both are unpalatable, its stance on donating to hate groups AND what it serves.

Take a look at this:
Chicken (100% natural whole breast filet, seasoning [salt, monosodium glutamate, sugar, spices, paprika], seasoned coater [enriched bleached flour {bleached wheat flour, malted barley flour, niacin, iron, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid}, sugar, salt, monosodium glutamate, nonfat milk, leavening {baking soda, sodium aluminum phosphate, monocalcium phosphate}, spice, soybean oil, color {paprika}], milk wash [water, whole powdered egg and nonfat milk solids], peanut oil [fully refined peanut oil with TBHQ and citric acid added to preserve freshness and dimethylpolysiloxane an anti-foaming agent added]), bun (enriched flour [wheat flour, malted barley flour, niacin, reduced iron, thiamin mononitrate {Vitamin B1}, riboflavin {Vitamin B2}, folic acid], water, high fructose corn syrup, yeast, contains 2% or less of each of the following: liquid yeast, soybean oil, nonfat milk, salt, wheat gluten, soy flour, dough conditioners [may contain one or more of the following: mono- and diglycerides, calcium and sodium stearoyl lactylates, calcium peroxide], soy flour, amylase, yeast nutrients [monocalcium phosphate, calcium sulfate, ammonium sulfate], calcium propionate added to retard spoilage, soy lecithin, cornstarch, butter oil [soybean oil, palm kernel oil, soy lecithin, natural and artificial flavor, TBHQ and citric acid added as preservatives, and artificial color]), pickle (cucumbers, water, vinegar, salt, lactic acid, calcium chloride, alum, sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate [preservatives], natural flavors, polysorbate 80, yellow 5, blue 1).

This is the set of ingredients to one of the Chik-Fil-a sandwiches. Why does a sandwich have to have High Fructose Corn Syrup AND MSG in it?! AND if you're wondering what the HELL "dimethylpolysiloxane" is...well it's one of the ingredients to silicone, caulking and silly putty...

This is the ingredient list from CFA's website.

As the warning goes before Tosh.0...Enjoy.

No, it's intended to get thoughtful consideration. Money spent at WDW supports LGBT people and their rights. Money spent at JC Penney, Target, Home Depot, or a large number of other large and small companies does the same. Money spent at CFA, Dominoes, Anheiser Busch and others supports organizations actively working to deny those same rights. This is not about the 1st Amendment or religion. It's about being careful and consistent and living with the consequences when we take a stand.

Princess Dolly, you're absolutely right about the quality issue, but that's another topic entirely. :)

Agree. We are lucky that we live in a country where we are allowed to voice our opinions, whatever they may be and are not imprisoned for them or worse. God Bless America.

I go to Disney and I eat at CFA. Both can express any view they want and as long as they have a product I want to purchase I will.

x2...the personal beliefs of the CEOs matter not one bit to me and I could care less if they promote the LGBT agenda.

Not comparing apples to apples.

WDW is a publicly traded (owned) company. Corporate $$ are being spent to further the causes they choose. I would be ticked if I were a share holder and didn't support the organizations the company chooses to fund.

The founder and the owners of CFA - a private company - choose to support organizations with beliefs close to theirs. Private company, private money.

My thoughts exactly. I appreciate both companies for the excellent products and services they provide to their customers. I think it's great that we as consumers can either support those businesses or not for whatever reason we choose.
