Disney Store Trading ?

I read somewhere that Disney Stores host trading on TUesday nights ? Is this all local Disney Stores ? Do the CM get involved or is this just between the people who show up ?

Just wondering since there are about 3 Disney Sotres in the genral vicinity of where we live

Yes, this is true.
The CM wear a lanyard of pins that you can trade off of. It has been a hit at some stores, while other stores say they get no traffic in terms of pin trading.

I went to the Disney Store by me on Tues AM to buy some of the current pins , and while i was there i asked the Manager if i could see her Lanyard. She was happy to oblige and pulled out 2! She said they pin trade every Tues. nite, but they don't get a big crowd. However, she said people in my area (Chgo.) flock over to the Woodfield store where they usually have a big crowd.

Hi Nancy! Yes it was at Golf Mill. The CM wasn't wearing the lanyard, and i just asked her if she had a lanyard i could see. She said sure and whipped 2 out of the cabinet!! Are you looking for a specific pin? I might be going there Sat. because DS9 wants to do a "trade" now .

We've been to both our local Disney stores (Trumbull and Danbury, CT) on Tuesday nights and we are the only ones there. The first time the kids traded with the CM, which was fun for them. Then we went back to Danbury....this was about two months later...and they still had the same pins on their lanyards, including the one we had traded to them! So, it was kind of a let-down for my kids.

I wish there were some more active trading going on near me!

I would call the Disney Stores before venturing over. My "local" DS does not do pin trading because as they explained to me "they are now a Play store (or something along this line) so don't have to do that anymore." However a DS a couple of suburbs over encourages us to stop in but only on the first Tuesday of each month from 7-9pm.

Ahhhhh yes, that wonderful city i can't get in or out of without going over railroad tracks! lol I wasn't sure what city you were in, maybe we can carpool to the next DIS meet!!
