Disney Store Received the Word Today about the DVC Discount!

Well, we finally received a memo today that the Disney Store is no longer going to honor the 10% DVC discount! It said effectively immediately.

Heck, my local Disney store was not aware that there was a DVC discount

I was at my local DS over the weekend (and thanks to the Dis already knew the discount was no more). I was talking to the CM's about it and they mentioned that some of the customers have not been so nice when told the discount is gone. They both seemed like they had taken a lot of heat for it that day. I felt bad for them, it's not their fault. We only lost a 10% discount they lost ALL of their vacation perks (which I might add, were quite nice). I just didn't know what to say to them. They were very disappointed that they no longer work for the Disney corporation.

I think Disney should offer the 10% discount from disney direct. Is there a good reason that they do not do this?

We were just at the DIS store and were were given the discount last weekend not sure why it wouldn't ba applicable at your stores. I hope they keep it going here as it is nice to get any sort of discount especially with the frequency we seem to give them money LOL.

Because they were sold to A Children's Place and are no longer owned by Dinsey...we all knew it was coming...but the DVC website the discount would continue in the overseas stores...

Yes we knew they were sold to TCP and the CDN stores were sold also but they honoured the discount this past weekend not to sure why we got it here we are not overseas by any stretch LOL unless it is because we go in so often they just gave us a 10% discount not to sure kinda like a frequent shopper discount LOL.

It really isn't necessary. Disney Direct ALWAYS has some sort of deal going on...fixed percent off order...$15 off of $75 purchase...free shipping...I probably get 2-3 emails per week from them with deals, and I haven't bought anything in about 2 years.
