do the shops take disney gift cards. specifically the higher end stores like uggs etc

Most locations at DS will accept them as it's typically a requirement of their lease agreement.

That's different that Downtown Disney at Disneyland. Last year, we were at Build-a-bear, and we weren't allowed to use a Disney gift card to pay.

We were there a year ago and used the Disney gift cards everywhere except some of the kiosks
