Disney Springs worth it?

Hey guys, I have a question.
I am going down just me and the wife in April. On our arrival day we will not be doing a park. Our plane arrives at 12:40 PM, we will be taking magical express, and have dinner reservations at O'Hana at 5:30. Is it possible and/or worth it for us to try to fit Disney Springs in during this time? We will not be going there to eat and really are not into shopping at all, but just be going to "see it" since everyone says it is so nice now. Is it worth the hassle and how hard is to get to/from using the Disney buses? Can we get off Magical Express at a different hotel than we are supposed to that would be closer to Disney springs? This would probably be our only chance to go as we don't want to take valuable park time away just to visit what seems like a giant nice outdoor mall? Thanks!

If you're not going to eat or shop, I'd say skip it! That's really what there is to do there. You have to take DME to the resort you're staying at. And you'll barely have any time at DS, even if you did try to go. Just relax at your resort for a bit and then head to dinner!

Is it worth it is subjective, but I'd say if you don't plan on eating or shopping probably not. I haven't been since it became DS but we stopped going to DTD years ago. The trouble of getting there and back using Disney transportation is the problem for us, well that and we'd rather spend our money in the parks. I have never been when I haven't had to wait at at least 30 min. for a bus to arrive, no matter where I'm staying and I've stayed at all levels of WDW resorts. I've also never been when said bus didn't stop at at least one water park on the way back to the resort (I don't know if they still do that).

Since you have dinner at O'hana, I would say skip Disney Springs. It is nice, and if you had nothing else to do that afternoon/evening, I think it would be fun to go there, but I think it would be a lot of time and trouble for the limited amount of time you would have to spend there. I would instead suggest exploring your hotel or the Polynesian (it sounds like maybe your staying somewhere else).

I would say skip it. By the time you get to ASSp, it will be about 2PM. By check-in and to your room, about 2:30. Since you have to go to MK anyway, just hop a bus over to MK, monorail to Poly. See if you can get into Trader Sam's or have a Lapu Lapu at the Tamboo Lounge or out by the pool.
