I'm wondering if Disney springs is worth it with kids (6,8). Is there anything that might interest them? Since Disneyquest is no longer an AP option, is there anything else?

It seems like it's just a shopping district that is more for adults to spend money on.
Any suggestions would be great and thank you very much.

There's Splitsville for bowling. The Lego store, World of Disney and Once Upon a Toy are fun to browse around, Ghiradelli for ice cream, Goofy's to have a custom-made snack.

Watching a Disney Movie at AMC is always fun. We watched Finding Dory there on Monday and everyone clapped and cheered at the end. :) The only time I've experienced that is at Disney venues - DS AMC and El Capitan in Hollywood!

We're going for a bit in the morning. I figure our two will enjoy souvenir shopping, seeing some of the things like the lego figures, picking out a treat at Goofy's, and eating lunch at T-Rex. We're not planning on staying much beyond that.

My boys (almost 6 last time we were there) loved wandering around Once Upon a Toy, we had lunch at T-Rex Cafe, they spent a huge chunk of their money at the Lego store (in the good ol' days when the CAD/USD exchange rate was good!) and then we shared a couple of Wetzel's Pretzels and did some people watching before catching the boat back to POR.
We use it as a chill out day instead of just hanging out at the resort

Thanks for the ideas. I genuinely appreciate it.
The once upon a toy sounds interesting. I was really bummed to see our AP we just purchased didn't include DQ, as that sounded like something unique that we could "do" as a destination. Otherwise it just seems like DD isn't really kid friendly.

The ghiradellis just sounds dangerous and worth 5 lbs on the gut for me, so a definite visit there is required. :)
Thanks again.

It's a little pricey but I know my kids would totally love the Amphicars at Boat house if I was willing to pay for it. Or the balloon ride.

There is so much to do at DS. We go there at least twice during a trip. We wonder through the stores and eat at T-Rex, or Earl of Sandwich. We love the Christmas shop, the Lego store, Ghiradelli for ice cream (and the free piece of chocolate), we are thinking of doing the large tethered balloon next time (I can't think of the name right now). We don't skip it, our boys are 13 and 8.
