Is there something wrong with disneyworld.disney.go.com/? I've been checking for the last couple of days and I can not find a value resort room for 1 adult from 11/8 to 11/15. I just find it difficult to believe there are no rooms.

I'm thinking I may have to look off property. If I do I'm thinking a Disney Springs area resort would be the next best thing to being on site because I figure I could get on Disney transportation there.

any suggestions on an off propriety resort within walking distance to DS? depending on the cost, I may also opt for a Moderate?

There are many, many things wrong with the website. But I don't think what you're experiencing is one of them. Pop will be going through a room refurb during those dates which does take a bunch of rooms out of inventory. And there really is no slow time at WDW any longer.

The 11th of November is Veteran's Day making it a 3 day weekend. That could play some part. The is the last week of the Food and Wine Festival. And as PP said, there is no longer any really slow time.

In case you are unfamiliar, you can't take Disney transportation from Disney Springs to any theme park. You have to transfer at a resort. And, that's only possible after 10am, as that's when buses to Disney Springs typically start. You can return from a theme park to Disney Springs after 4pm using a service Disney just started.

Please note that the Disney Springs bus area is at the middle (near Planet Hollywood). So, walking from there to a Disney Springs hotel can be a long walk after spending a day in a theme park.

The Disney Springs Hotels have their own shuttle system, which is operated by Mears Transportation. Scheduled transportation is provided every 30 minutes to Disney theme parks. Transportation is extremely reliable, although they double up on parks. Usually, one bus goes to the Transportation and Ticket Center (Magic Kingdom) and then Disney's Animal Kingdom. A second bus goes to Epcot and then Disney's Hollywood Studios. If you're heading to the second park, it's usually 20-25 minutes.

For more specific information on the Disney Springs Hotels, visit the "Orlando Hotels and Attractions Board". Also, be sure to visit the link that HopperFan posted. I've stayed at 4 of the 7 hotels within the past two years. Here are my opinions of those hotels from a past thread:
