Disney Springs will soon reach another major milestone with roadway access becoming even easier. With roadway improvements on Buena Vista Drive now complete, dedicated bus lanes and a centralized bus loop are becoming fully operational.

The Town Center bus loop will officially open and become the new location for Walt Disney World Resort bus transportation at Disney Springs. Also, at the same time, Walt Disney World Resort buses will begin using the dedicated bus lanes on Buena Vista Drive.

Beginning May 27, select charter and non-Disney buses as well as Mears taxis will use the Marketplace and West Side bus loops.

Marketplace:

  • Good Neighbor Hotels
  • Hotel Plaza Boulevard Hotels
  • Shades of Green Resort
  • Bonnet Creek Resorts
  • Disney Performing Arts
  • Mears Taxis

West Side:

  • Lynx
  • Hotel Plaza Boulevard Hotels
  • Charters

In addition, Sundries opens on May 26 in Town Center near the bus loop, and will be the primary location for stroller and wheelchair rentals at Disney Springs. Other offerings available for purchase at Sundries include basic first aid and baby products. With the opening of Sundries, rental locations at the Marketplace and West Side will no longer be available.

Any idea where Uber drivers will be able to drop off if headed to Town Center or Westside?

Uber drivers will be able to drop you off at the Strawberry parking lot, on the West Side. They can also go into the parking garages and just drop you off there real quick.

So are there 2 bus stops now? Sorry I should probably know this. :-)

If only one is it central or closer to the market side?

I'm sorry I meant to say Marketside. Will Uber drivers be able to use the old loop on Marketside? Or is this just for taxis and busses? Being able to drop off in the garages will help though. Thanks!

I'm not sure if they will allow Uber drivers since the cars don't really have a sign on them do they? Again, he can drop you off using the Lime or Orange parking garages

When the Uber driver goes into the garages make sure to tell him to go to the second floor and that way you only have to go down the escalators. The ground floor doesn't have access to Disney Springs, you have to go to second floor for that

This is helpful info. :thanks:

I have heard the marketplace bus loop might eventually close. I know the new town center bus loop does have a lot of room including room for some of the good neighbor hotels. I am interested to see if that in fact happens at some point.

There are actually three different bus stops.

A: Marketplace Stop (where Disney Transport buses used to go).
B. The new centralized Disney Springs bus area for all Disney resort buses.
C. West Side Stop.

There's only 1 Disney resort bus loop, it's the brand new one that opened today, it's really big, about 4 times the size of the old one.
You can see the different ones in the original post

No, you get off at the bus stop and walk to wherever you're going at Disney Springs (or take the water taxi).
right, there's only one bus loop for resort guests, then you walk to where you want to go.
The other 2 bus loops are for outside disney resort buses and taxis

Just trying to wrap my brain - when I take a bus from Pop to DS in two weeks, will I be dropped off/picked up at A, B, or C? Thanks!!

I love seeing all the improvements at DS!

Wow, looks like quite a hike for resort guests (on buses) to get to the Marketplace now. That's the only area we like, and it was so convenient before. :(
