If you've been to Disney Springs on Saturday or Sunday before 4:00 or so, how crowded was it? I've always avoided going to DS during weekend days because I assumed it would be extremely busy, mostly with locals. But it occurred to me to ask, maybe my theory isn't true. Maybe now that Disney Springs has existed for so many years, all the locals have tired of it, or for whatever reason, avoid it. Or is my theory true? Came here to ask-how crowded is it? During the week, during the day is very uncrowded.

In my experience, packed.

I went on a weekday last year… it’s as crowded as a weekend!

It’s busy due to a combination of factors. Locals out on the weekend. Tourists who are arriving or departing on the weekend who go on their arrival/departure date instead of the parks. Of course, there are some times of the year that will be worse than others (you couldn’t pay me to go on the weekend during the holiday shopping season) but if you want the lightest crowds, go on a weekday (Monday-Thursday) morning if possible. Second choice is weekday afternoon or evening. Third choice is Friday, and then weekends only if you have no other choice (and the earlier in the day, the better).

Going to Disney Springs at opening is so much nicer crowd wise.

Tuesdays are pin drop Tuesdays. So they can get crowded.

Special events can increase crowds.

Yeah, weekend days are usually pretty packed!! If you need/really want to go then, try going when they first open though...it's always less crowded then!!

It can also depend on the time of year you go. Obviously spring break, Christmas, etc. are going to be way more crowded both weekdays and weekends. Evenings are always busy, weekday evenings, a little less so. Weekends - avoid if at all possible. Or like others have said, get there at opening on Saturdays and Sundays. If you leave DS before 6pm on a weekday during a non holiday time, it's not bad.

We travel on weekends and always start our trip at Raglans for dinner, and we also plan a whole day just for DS to get our shopping on during the week. What I've noticed is weekends are packed for the most part with the exception of when it opens (Raglans has a wonderful brunch). Right around noon is when the masses start arriving and it doesnt seem to thin ever the rest of the day. Thats why we set aside a weekday for DS to do our shopping.
