Disney Springs - How do These Rate?

We have a one day stop on our cruise at Port Canaveral and we are coming to Disney Springs. Depending on the excursion we book, we may or may not have time for a sit down meal (i.e. one excursion is "Outlet and Disney Springs - where we would only do QS, and the other excursion is "Disney Transportation" where we would have time for QS or Table).

DH and I don't eat meat, but do eat fish and seafood.
Our kids (14 and 10) are very picky but like chicken fingers, pizza, burgers, hot dogs, etc.

I've noted the following places to grab an early dinner. How do you rate them? Any to avoid? Or any that are "for sure you gotta go there"?

Quick Service
  • Pizza Ponte
  • Wolfgang Puck Express
  • Earl of Sandwich
Table Service
  • Paradisco 37
  • T-Rex
  • Rainforest
  • Planet Hollywood
Thanks

It is not on your list, but Splitsville has a huge menu that will satisfy everyone on your list. It is a fun casual place (bowling, if you feel like it!) that is kinda between a QS and a TS. The QS at Disney Springs is a bit more upscale than the QS at the parks.

I also recommend Splitsville. It's never hard to get a table and it's very good. Has become one of our favorite places at disney springs. T-Rex and Rainforest are pretty much the same. Think applebees with crazy themes. Planet hollywood is pretty basic. We liked it but havent went back in a long time. Nothing memorable.

Earl of Sandwich is very good if you just want sandwiches. Wolfgang puck express is probably the best quick service at Disney Spring, but feels more like table service.

Thanks for the recommendations. I've added Splitsville to the list. It looks like this one requires an ADR at least one day ahead (which means no change of plans once we are on the ship).

Question...can kids over 9 order off of the kids menu at a Table service?

Not sure about the over 9. My kids are still younger than that but you wont need a adr to eat there. They are never that busy. We always just show up and are seated right away. Have even went on Christmas eve and thanksgiving. If they like pizza they do have that as well.

If you're paying cash I don't think they get as picky as to who orders off of what menu.

We just walked up to the podium at Splitsville, too. Got right in. The place is really big!

Yes, if you are paying cash (not on a dining plan), children over 9 can order off the kids menu. Another vote for Boathouse if you like seafood - it's REALLY good!

We did Splitsville for our trip last time. I seriously wasn't impressed. It was probably the worst meal we had on the entire trip. It does have a very diverse menu that anyone can probably find something they'd like, but I just didn't like the execution of our meals. This may have just been our experience. I know a lot of people like it, and we chose it based on all the praise it was getting, so maybe our experience was out of the norm.

Oh no! Sorry you had a bad experience. That stinks, especially when you have good expectations going into a place. Our absolute worst meal ever at WDW was Le Cellier, and that is a favorite of so many here on the boards.

Lol. That’s funny cause Le Cellier was one of our best meals, yet way overpriced.

We like T-Rex and Planet Hollywood for our picky eaters. Great atmosphere at both!

Didn't see either listed but we love Blaze and Chicken Guy
Thanks. I've added Blaze to the list. Looks like a good option.
Our kids would like Chicken Guy. Nothing for DH and I as we don't eat beef or chicken but guess with QS you don't have to all grab from the same place.

Blaze is very good and very reasonable as far as Disney goes.
