Disney Springs Crowds

This might be the wrong place to post this so I apologize in advance! I know Disney Springs is often very crowded, particularly in the evenings in the summer. Is there any time during the week that you would say would be a better evening to visit? We were originally thinking of going on the weekend and I now feel that might not be such a good idea! Or does it not matter...going to be crowded no matter which day of the week we go...it will be in July the week after the 4th. Thinking of maybe dinner and drinks somewhere...

It will likely be very busy most/all evenings of the week of July 4th. Traditionally DS is least busy earlier in the morning and gets progressively busy as the day progresses but going in the AM/early afternoon may not be an option for you.

Weekends tend to be busiest as more local guests go to DS on the weekends in addition to vacationing guests.

Why not go over the AM and do lunch instead?

I highly suggest going for openings. I have done that quite a bit and the crowds are very minimal
