Disney Skyliner Refurb 2025

In my opinion, Riviera in January is not the move.

I'd say if Skyliner is a must, don't go in January. If you have to go in January, don't count on Skyliner. Especially since maintenance has to happen yearly.

Agreed. Frankly Riviera without the Skyliner is still a great resort, but you lose so much of the benefit of the resort without the Skyliner. If I have to rely on buses, I'd rather save points and stay at Saratoga tbh.

I booked our first split stay "assuming" the skyliner will go down for maintenance on Tues Jan 21 after the MLK holiday. It seems that is often the timing of the closure. Now, if it doesn't go down until the following week, I would consider changing the second half of our split stay to save $$ at CBR however there are very few rooms left with the discount so the point may be moot by the time Disney announces the closure information.

Unfortunately, FOA is the 17th and Marathon weekend ends the 12th. Not much time in between!

I feel the same way - I am at CBR Jan 29 - Feb 6. I figure the skyliner will be closed for the first part of our trip, but hopefully not the whole thing.
I keep thinking "today HAS to be the day they announce something" and I keep being wrong

Same. I'm booked at pop Jan 25 - Feb 4. I fully expect the skyliner to be down for the first few days of our trip but hopefully not the whole time. In past years the refurb was always completed by the end of January. It's not like I can switch resorts as there are no longer any discounted value rooms available for our dates. Might just have to bus it like we did in the old days.

I’m staying at Boardwalk Jan 21-26 but we want to do a meal at Toppolinos either on our arrival or departure day; will only do so if we can hop on the skyliner. Anxiously awaiting this announcement as well! Lol

It's the impact on my dining plans that's causing the most frustration for me at the moment. I have about a month before my dining reservation window opens, but that's not really a lot of time when I have a whole life to lead in addition to planning a Disney trip!

Me too. Booked at Caribbean early January and so want to use the skyliner. Surely they will announce this week.

Unfortunately that's what a lot of people thought last year. Prior to last year they had announced the refurbishment dates much earlier (btwn early May and mid-August), so when August and September came and went with no announcement, people were unsure there would even be a closure until Disney finally announced it on October 25th.

I was hoping that such a late announcement would be the exception, but I guess not.

I feel like tomorrow could be the day. Last year, Oct 25 was the last Wednesday. Tomorrow is the last Wednesday in October. Maybe????? Crossing fingers......

I switched resorts. I just can’t risk spending hundreds more on a basic room and not have the Skyliner. I luckily was able to grab a room at All Star Music. The buses are nightmares at Pop when Skyliner is down and I don’t want to risk spending extra for the headache. Good luck all! I hope they announce it soon!!!

I just switched as well. For just a little more $, I could do a garden view at POFQ. So I made the jump and eliminated the need to obsess over the Skyliner closing.
