I feel like we saw those ornaments (or similar) in the Hollywood Studios Christmas shop last month.
I don't put it past Disney to try something like that, but it would be a logistical nightmare. I highly doubt it. I think their additional fee will come in the form of higher room rates at the affected resorts.I was told by a friend of a cast member that the Skyliner is going to require a $30 upcharge to your tickets and that you would have to scan you ticket in order to ride this. Doesn't make much sense to me but my understanding was that it was like the monorail/boat/bus, free to everyone no matter what.
And how many ears and mouths did that alleged info pass thru before it got to the cm whose the friend of your friend?I was told by a friend of a cast member that the Skyliner is going to require a $30 upcharge to your tickets and that you would have to scan you ticket in order to ride this. Agreed - the "cost" comes with Pop (value) being over $200 a night during slow periods now instead of about $164I don't put it past Disney to try something like that, but it would be a logistical nightmare. This is incorrect.I was told by a friend of a cast member that the Skyliner is going to require a $30 upcharge to your tickets and that you would have to scan you ticket in order to ride this. So I am just curious about the procedure going on with the Skyliner. Would this be normal protocol to prepare the system days before a storm, or is this taking longer because it is the first time and brand new? I am just wondering because parks close early tomorrow, but if the Skyliner were open, it would have been out of commission days before the actual storm for guests. Just trying to wrap my head around the whole process and what it means going forward.
There is no doubt the cost of The POP and AoA will (have) increased with one reason being the skyliner, but seems to me all resort costs have went up right along with them. We got The POP for $180 a night, which is by no means good, but I'm okay with it. So yeah, you pay one way or another. But no charge for using skyliner itself.

Speculating: maybe on 2 towers to hold the cable in place beyond the section they're resplicing. Put another way, to isolate the section of cable they're working on.
It raises the question though whether Pop Century and Art of Animation will now be consistently and significantly more expensive than All Star Resorts.Agreed - the "cost" comes with Pop (value) being over $200 a night during slow periods now instead of about $164
Consistently. Yes.It raises the question though whether Pop Century and Art of Animation will now be consistently and significantly more expensive than All Star Resorts.

And dates I picked in February Pop is only maybe 60 less than the moderates and 30 more then all starsConsistently. Yes.
Significantly? It really depends on your dates.
Next August, for my dates, Pop standard is about $40 more than a standard at an AllStar. But a moderate is still about $100 more than Pop. Rates can really fluctuate between them though. Over Christmas next year, the price difference between AllStars and Pop seems considerable.
