Disney Shopping Sizing HELP!

I need help with costume sizing. I am considering ordering a princess dress from Disney Shopping. I am wondering how true to size their costumes run. On an Ebay listing, the person said that they run very small. I was wondering what your experience is for those of you who have ordered costumes.

My dd currently wears a 6/6x in most brands (gymboree, Chez ami, old navy, target) . In Justice we usually have to get a 7. Sometimes with tees we get a 7. What size should I order? I was leaning towards a M but if they run small we may need a Large.

DD11 got a size L Pocahontas costume from Disney Shopping for Halloween this year, and it fits perfect. She normally wears a 12. I think your DD would be fine with a M.

I think you will be fine with a M 7/8. My DD7 is usually a size 7 and she fits fine in her size M Disney costumes/dresses.

I have noticed the clothing seems to run small, my 2 yo weras 24 months and I get him PJ's and shirts in 3. He was Mickey for halloween when he was about 15 months and I had to get the 18-24 months. I would say if the med is 7/8 you should be fine.

Well, I think I'm the first one to say that I think their sizes run big. Maybe this is because I have a boy and they size things bigger for boys. We've ordered my son lots of Disney clothes and costumes and they're always big on him. He was Peter Pan for Halloween this year. I ordered him the size S outfit as that's what size they said he would fit at his age. The shirt was long enough to wear with tights (and actually look like Peter Pan) rather than the pants because the pants were huge! And he can still wear his Buzz costume from Halloween '06 and it's supposed to be too small for him according to their sizing.

I know when he was born, the week before Christmas we had a size 0/3 months Santa jacket and Mickey Mouse Santa hat set. He was swimming in it and at a year old it still fit him. He was able to wear the Mickey Santa hat until he was 2!!

They could actually size the girls better than they do boys.
