I love to scrapbook, though I haven't done so in quite a while. Our last trip was in December of 2004, and we are going again this December. I have yet to finish my book from our last trip! LOL I am currently working on it, but am completely amazed at how thick it is getting! We had just bought a new camera before we went, and came home with over 1000 photos! I still have some to print to scrap. Just wondering if I'm in the minority with how many pictures I have to do, and if most others have books just as thick. I bought the album (a 12 x 12) in Downtown Disney, and have already had to put two sets of extenders in there so to accomodate more pages.

Also, here's a question for you all.. do you scrap all your vacations, and if so, how do you make sure that you don't end up with albums that look the same? I'm afraid of coming home with identical pictures!!!

We've been a few times and are heading back next month. On each trip we try to do lots of new things, along with some old favorites. By doing new things at the parks, we have new things to take pics of. We stay at a new resort each trip too! I found in my stash, 3 photos from 3 diff trips of that entreing Africa sign at AK, and told myself not to take repeat photos! I work with my photos a lot, organizing and so forth, so I'm pretty familiar on what shots we already have, and I know that when I cross that bridge into Africa next month, I will not take the pic of that sign!

There's so many things at WDW, you can always find new things to photograph. Plus you will always have new pics of your family!

I know what you mean about not being done. We went on a cruise in Jan 2005 and I tried to darndest to get that one finished before our cruise this past January, but didn't make it. I finally finished the first one in March and have yet to start the next cruise as I've been finishing up the Vegas book from May 2005 . I'm not sure I'll have that one done before going to WDW. I have an all weekend crop in early Nov, so guess Vegas will be my theme.

Anywho...

To help make books different, I review the old scrapbooks to get ideas for other things that can be added. For example, this year I want to really showcase the countries in EPCOT, which I didn't do before and I'm thinking of doing some Top 5 pages, such as Top 5 rides, thrill rides, places to eat, characters, etc. I also realized going through my previous WDW book that I didn't get some inside photo's of some of my favorites rides, ex: ToT, POTC, etc.

I also look through my supplies to see if there is something that I want to use and I keep a notebook with my ideas. This way when we are on vacation, I can review and try to get the pics to match the idea layout. Ex: I have a embellishment about sleeping (can't remember the exact phrase right now) and would like to get a pic of DD15 still in bed in the morning to go along with the phrase.

I also try and do different size books, which can help create different layouts. I did my WDW pics in a 12x12, but when we went to Disneyland, I did an 8x8 layout as I didn't take as many pics.

Hope this helps :)

I have to say I have the same concern and sometimes I do wind up with the same pictures. However, just a note. I would try to take at least one picture in each park that is the "same" everytime you go. Either different people are on the trip with you or it records your family at that time. Then not only do you see your family change over time through the whole vacation you can see it through the "same" photo from vacation to vacation.
