Disney Scrap Shopping List. Need input. Leaving next week!! :)

I've already written down the freebie things to look for to save for my scrapbook.

Are there things that I can only find at Disney that I should buy? I'm sure there are.

If you know where and what, please let me know so I can add it to my shopping list!




So excited! I wish I would have done this last year. We'll be arriving early afternoon on Wednesday, staying at the Best Western in DD that first night. So we definitely plan to hit World of Disney. Anything cool that I should look for at the little discount store there, too?

There is the Memories store at DTD but my last couple of trips I've been really disappointed. I do stock up on Mickey eyelets though

I check out the shop after each attraction, looking for post cards or stickers that are specific to that attraction (eg. Expedition Everest had some great post cards, tags and stickers in the store when I was there in February).

They sell a box of 200 stickers, divided into 4 rolls, one for each of the theme parks. I like them. I also bought a package of "2007" themed paper, borders, and frames. It was $15. There's a package of paper that is spiral bound, 40 pages of printed paper that covers all 4 parks, too. It's also $15.

I saw them in several stores. World of Disney had at least the stickers that I can recall. The Memories store in DTD had all of it, as did the scrapbook section at Mouse Gear at Epcot.

they are readily available kits, i even found them at the ASMovies gift store.

If you have an AP, or DVC membership or anything that will geT you a discount at the big Disney store at DTD marketplace, that's the place to buy, although every resort store seems to have some scrapbook stuff.

One of their paper packs has restaurant stickers. They have mickey eyelets, the castle punch, mickey ears scissors, many of the character shapped punches, kids stamping sets with characters, little lined notepads with characters that could be used for journalling blocks.

That Mouse Memories warehouse is AWESOME and she's got some new themed stuff from an artist named zahara or something like that that is absolutely fabulous and i haven't seen anywhere else.

I just set aside my spending money.

I told my husband that if we don't leave before traffic (atlanta) starts next Wednesday morning, that I'm gonna be p.o'd, b/c that's the only day I have to shop outside the parks. It's the difference of getting there by 1:00 or by 4:00.

You also get a discount with a Disney Visa, and the only store that the discounts are good at is World of Disney, so try to buy as much as you can there.

Mouse Memories is great....TONS of Disney stuff!!!!!!!

Be sure to check their website for the days they are open and their hours. They are a warehouse so they are not always open.

It is worth the drive - about 20 - 30 minutes from WDW.

I always get the Disney scrapbook with the year. I replace all the guts, and get posts to expand it. I also get paper packs.

Get the Mickey eyelets, punchs that you can't get at Mike's or ACMoore. Stay away from the quote set, rip off...post cards are awesome, and anything small from the shops are so much fun to add...

Hey Everyone,
I saw this link and would love to get some ideas too. We're going for the Not So Scary Halloween party and CAN'T WAIT!!!!! We went last year, but my DD fell asleep and my husband had to do the trick or treating. You should have seen his face, he was like, Holy Cow, they have the good stuff I saw an album last year at the World of Disney, I totally am getting it this year, it was a Halloween album. I can't wait to scrap this trip! Halloween is so amazing and I love the colors. I don't know if anyone has been to Ebay but I think I may make my first purchase on there from a lady that sells scrapbook pieces. She even has a poem for the NSSHP. I may add some embellishments to it, but it's so cute. I think it's Gina's Scrapbook Store or something, I'll have to log into my account to look at my favorites. Anyway, we have seasonal passes and when you shop at World of Disney you get 10% off, woohoo! I have to save up though, no purchases until then. I don't want to have to deal with my hubby and do you need that questions

First off, I did go to Mouse Memories Warehouse and spent beaucoup ducats!

They have theme park, sports and faith scrapbook supplies and a few - very few - tools. Amazing selection in those three areas as well as some original stuff designed by one of their employees that is JUST amazing!

I bought nothing in the Disney memories store - they have less than before - except a packet of mickey paperclips on sale. Didn't even go in WOD, it was mobbed.

In Animal Kingdom and Animal Kingdom Lodge, I found kits of handmade papers and embellishments from eco-Africa. These are the real deal, made by women in Africa - they have a website, where the stuff is cheaper, a la carte, but it's easy to pick up the kits all assembled for $17.00.

There were many new postcards since my January trip, including new shaped postcards that I would never mail. I also found a little box of vintage postcards and a sheet of decorative patches such as one might use on clothing.

On that list of scrapbook stores, the one "Tags and such" is just around the corner from Mouse Memories. It looked to have been shut since before the Labor day holiday, judging from the delivery notices stuck to the door. It's for sale, and I wondered if they had gone out of business, so if you're planning to visit, I might call first to make sure they're open.
